2015 GENERAL ELECTION AND THE INCOMPETENT GOVERNMENT YOU ARE LIKELY TO VOTE TO POWER – Regardless to your political persuasion I would challenge anyone to stand up and laud the virtues and competency of the current coalition government.
In just 18 months the bewildered and austerity bludgeoned taxpayer is once again going to have to decided which bunch of incompetent fools are going to be elected to run the country, probably into the ground, for the next 4 years; and in the process make your life a misery.
The political despots with all their lies, subterfuge and rhetoric are in full swing at their respective political party conferences in order to convince the public they are doing a good job – or for those not in power trying to convince you they will do better job.
It is widely accepted that there are two political forces that are most likely to reach power through the public vote; these being either the Labour or Conservative Party.
So which one is it going to be; that is which one will you allow the power to make your lives a misery for another 4 years?
I’ll be honest I used to be a staunch conservative but for the last two General Elections I have abstained from casting a vote on the grounds that I simply refuse to vote for something I no longer believe in and I certainly don’t want to be responsible for the misery they cause.
I am sure you already have a good idea on how you will cast your vote – there are of course many people who will blindly vote for a certain political persuasion simply out of habit and of course their belief in the political ideology; Tony Blair’s tenure was testament to that.
There’s a new book out, The Blunders Of Our Governments by Anthony King and Ivor Crewe (Oneworld Publications, £25). To order a copy for £20 (P&P free), call 0844 472 4157.
Anthony King and Ivor Crewe are two of our most distinguished politics professors of our time and they meticulously detail the blunders, incompetence and ineptitude of the previous Labour Government and of course the current Conservative / Liberal Democrat Coalition Government.
If you are currently a staunch supporter of either Labour or Conservative this book will open your eyes to their world which clearly shows that none of them really care about the taxpayer; in fact the Treasury into which we are forced to pay into is nothing more than their personal piggy bank and with so many of their snouts in the trough it is little surprising why Britain is in such a economic mess.
Under the last Labour Government the most notable failure was the Millennium Dome. Yes it was nothing short as a vast waste of taxpayer’s money and yet Tony Blair wanted a monument to his tenure as Prime Minister and therefore it didn’t matter how much the taxpayer was squeezed providing his ego was satisfied.
Unfortunately the Millennium Dome was a drop in the ocean compared to Hubris. Hubris was supposed to be the new computer system for the NHS. It was of course a complete and utter fiasco that only recently came to light in terms of the cost.
The Labour Government, at the time, put a cost on the project at £6 billion; unfortunately that was a lie, a cover up in order to protect minister’s jobs – the true figure was over £12 billion and yet despite the cost the system failed and was ultimately scrapped.
But that’s all ancient history and if your ask Ed Miliband he’ll no doubt point the finger at Minister’s of the time and regale you with stories that such wasteful spending by the Labour Party is all in the past.
That of course would be a lie for we are in fact still paying for Hubris; even those it’s never worked and never will.
Ed Miliband, AKA Red Ed, has made his position perfectly clear during his party conference speech. He’s made amends with the likes of Len McClusky, leader of Unite Union which was recently found to be dodging corporation tax, and declared that Britain would be taken back to the 1970s.
You might not remember the 1970s for but for those of us who do remember realise that Labour all but bankrupt the country – is that what Red Ed really wants?
Of course he wants to create a pure Marxist socialist society; unfortunately such regimes simply do not work for we are not all equal.
As for the Conservative Party well we only need to look back to last year and listen to the comments of Francis Maude, the millionaire Cabinet Office Minister who told people to horde fuel in their garages in preparation for Tanker Driver’s threatening to go on strike.
Yes such a notion is simply astoundingly absurd for not only would the average person not be able to horde enough it would also be highly dangerous. Of course petrol doesn’t keep – after about a year the chemicals within petrol degrade therefore rendering it useless.
Clockwise: Nigel Farage UKIP, Nick Clegg Liberal Democrats, Ed Miliband Labour and David Cameron Conservatives
Francis Maude obviously didn’t have a clue as to how the average British citizen lived for he never bothered to consider that many families didn’t have a garage in order to store the fuel that he so blindly suggested.
Yes it was a classic case of pure ignorance as to how people lived their lives; he honestly believed that everyone lived the millionaire lifestyle as he did.
That particular instance is in all honesty trivial compared to damage that other ministers have done in order to satisfy their egos.
One of the most despicable moves in my book was David Cameron’s announcement of an EU Referendum in 2017 which was on the provision that he was voted back into power in the 2015 General Elections – it also has to be a majority vote so that he may form a majority Government.
This is nothing short of attempting to blackmail the electorate – it’s a carrot and stick scenario and Mr. Cameron blindly believes that we are donkeys and dumb enough to fall for such a ruse.
Of course Mr. Cameron may well be right and we will certainly find out after the next General Election if it worked.
Personally I refuse to be blackmailed. In my view Mr. Cameron could have pushed for an EU Referendum long ago – in fact if he upheld the principles of democracy in Britain he would have done, but democracy and listening to the will of the people is not Mr. Cameron’s remit.
The only thing that concerns Mr. Cameron is remaining in power at any cost; even if that means bombarding another country with missile strikes without evidence in order to make himself look like a national hero.
When you weigh up Labour and the Conservative and then even compare them to the Liberal Democrats you will quickly see they are all one of the same – that is they all simply want the power to access the Treasury into which you are forced by legislation to put into on a weekly or monthly basis.
Note here that I have left our UKIP. There is a very good reason and the reason is that they are still an untried and untested entity. We have in the past fully experienced Tory, Labour and Liberal Democrats and so we fully understand what they are capable of and indeed the damage they have done to Britain over the years.
If I were to give advice it wouldn’t be to persuade you to vote for any party but rather buy the book The Blunders Of Our Governments. The book details all the dirty dealings on both Labour and the Conservatives and should allow you to make an educated decision beyond mere political ideology.
Now is not the time for passion, it’s a time for common sense, a time where Britain doesn’t need ruling from the heart or political ideology but rather from the head for it is the only way Britain will every survive and prosper.
