44 YEARS BEHIND BARS FOR ACID ATTACK ON INNOCENT WOMAN AND HER CHILDREN – Three thugs poured acid over an innocent woman as she walked her 6 year old twins home from school in a completely unprovoked attack.
Yannick Ntesa, 25, Abdul Motin, 28 and Ahad Miah 31; were arrested and convicted of their heinous crime and sentenced to a total of 44 years.
The jury heard that the trio of thugs laughed as they poured acid in their victim’s face and in the process caused minor burns to her children.
The woman was treated at the scene, Upton Cross Primary School in Upton Park, east London with cold water and then rushed initially to the Royal London Hospital. Due to the severity of her burns she was later transferred to a specialist burns unit in Chelmsford, Essex.
The woman suffered 16 per cent chemical burns to her face and body and doctors described in court that this woman now has to adjust to a lifetime of being disfigured.
After the attack, the jury was told by the prosecution that, the three thugs made their get-away in a red BMW and were seen by witnesses laughing.
Detectives gave evidence and reported that the three assailants have never given a reason for attacking the woman or her children and can only surmise that this was simply a random act of violence for the defendants to get a laugh.
All three were sent to prison on varying charges from grievously bodily harm and conspiracy to cause grievously bodily harm.
Whilst it’s admirable that these animals have been imprisoned there appears to be a number of unanswered questions.
Call me a racist but I’d like to know if these individuals were British citizens; with names like Ntesa, Motin and Miah it would appear most unlikely and yet again this suggests that our immigration system is failing to stop undesirable migrants from entering the UK and committing crime.
Well yes, nobody else was likely to pose the question so I thought it appropriate.
As for the punishment let’s just say it didn’t even scratch the surface of justice in my view. With prisons being little more than 5 star hotels actually imprisoning someone really isn’t much of a punishment.
What would have been more appropriate is to have had a public flogging. Draconian? Yes it may be, but effective it most definitely is. Ask any Singaporean who has been caned if he or she would like to go back for a second dose.
We have become far too soft on crime which is why these animals committed the crime. If they had been aware of being publicly flogged or even the possibility of staring into the eyes of an executioner I wonder if they would have stopped to consider their actions.
Britain’s crime rate cannot be solved by handing down long term prison sentences or even suspended sentences with community service. We need to reintroduce justice and if that appears barbaric to some try explaining the virtues of the current system to a victim of crime.
