AFTER EARTH SLAMMED BY CRITICS AND REPORT IT IS A SCIENTOLOGY TEACHINGS MOVIE – After Earth starring Will Smith and his son Jayden Smith didn’t appeal to film critics and slammed it as nothing more than a movie on propaganda for Scientology teachings.
Will Smith has denied any affiliation with the Scientology Church or its teachings and yet critics pointed out that the movie focuses on ‘themes of man versus nation’ which is a clear connotation of Scientology teachings.
After Earth hasn’t been well received by movie-goers either as box office takings reported a very meager $1 million on the opening night.
The movie, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, revolves around General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) and his son, Kitai (Jayden Smith) after crash landing on Earth a thousand years after mankind abandoned the planet.
Earth is now ruled by an alien life-force that feeds off the fear of other life. Kitai’s mission is to find the rescue beacon for their spaceship and save his father who was seriously injured during the crash landing.
Scientology connections, that critics say are evident throughout the film, won’t be noticed by many movie-goers however critics report that the movie is nothing less than a bible of Scientology, with weak performances from both Will and Jayden, followed by a half-baked story line that lacks any real engagement.
