ANARCHISTS PLANNING TO SABOTAGE MARGARET THATCHER’S FUNERAL – According to nearly all the papers this morning an anarchist group, known as ‘Black Bloc’ are planning to sabotage Margaret Thatcher’s funeral by re-enacting the Poll Tax Riots in 1990.
Hardcore anarchists are planning to hit Trafalgar Square this coming Saturday in the hope of causing riots and violence across capital. The plan is to continue their rioting with the overall goal of causing havoc to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral on Wednesday.

I wanted to be shock, amazed and maybe even a little stunned by the anarchist’s plans and yet I am none of these. I have come to accept the fact that there are some in British society that do not believe in democracy but would rather have us live under a totalitarianism dictatorship.
These anarchist’s have a right, under freedom of express, to protest; that I am all for. What I find abhorrent and outright offensive is the fact that the plan protest will neither be peaceful nor show any respect for Lady Thatcher or her family. How much lower can a human being go than to even consider undertaking such a despicable act?
Johnny Rotten, former singer of the Sex Pistols, was no fan of Margaret Thatcher and yet, much to his credit, even he came out and said that he had a ‘loathing’ for anyone who would show such disrespect.
Anarchists, by their very nature, are short-sighted and obviously moronic. These people are obviously unable, in any intelligent way, to protest their grievances in a diplomatic and or democratic way.
Now you might think that the anarchists have a democratic right to protest; and you would be right – but what they are planning is anything but democratic and it certainly won’t, if they have their way, be peaceful.
I fully accept that Margaret Thatcher was not the most popular of Prime Ministers, however, if Margaret Thatcher was that unpopular among the ‘democratic vote’ why did the British public vote her in for three terms in office? That’s right we the people had a vote, a democratic vote, and the majority supported her.
Yes, there are always those who didn’t vote for her but democracy can only be achieved through a majority voice and while we may not always appreciate the outcome of a vote we must, if we are want to uphold the democratic principles, accept the majority vote.
As you can see these anarchists have no intention of peacefully protesting their views in a democratic way. What they want to do is force their will against other and that is what all totalitarianism dictatorships do.
Might I suggest that if any anarchist feels that strongly about living in a society that is ruthlessly controlled by a few, or one, then North Korea is the sort of place that they would no doubt feel right at home?
If this staged re-enactment goes ahead the few will affect the many and not only disrupt life in and around London but will clearly show the world just how despicable the British people have become and while there is no doubt that this is a minority group; who have no interest in your civil liberties and right, this will not detract from the perception the world will have on all British people.
