BENEFIT SCROUNGERS NEED STOPPING – When you examine the likes of Natalie Cann and her partner Leigh Miller with their nine children and one on the way you get a clear and unequivocal picture to everything that is wrong with Britain.
Currently Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller live in squalor despite being given more than £38,000 a year in benefits.
On top of the cash they receive they are now demanding a bigger home in order to provide more comfort.
Natalie Cann is currently pregnant with her tenth child and at 33 years of age she has a way to go yet before her biological clock turns that will prevent her from having anymore.
Until that day arrives she and her partner Leigh Miller will almost certainly continue to breed and in the process scrounge off the taxpayer.
Last month during David Cameron’s Tory Party Conference speech he told the British people that the Government was to introduce the ‘Earn or Learn’ scheme. Effectively those on unemployment benefits will be required to work for the state in order to earn their benefits or go back into education in order to increase their chance of employment.
Mr. Cameron appears to be getting tough but is it too little, too late?
Leigh Miller last week told reporters that if his benefits were cut he would immerse himself in a life of crime in order to feed his children. It could be argued that it’s admirable in the way that a father would take any measures in order to provide for his children, however if Leigh Miller is that adamant why doesn’t he get a job and relieve the taxpayer to some extent?
Of course Leigh Miller is not accustomed to work, indeed his history is one of crime, a drug addict and someone who has spent time behind bars – his life is basically a wasted affair that every hardworking taxpayer is being forced to support.
Image Note: Almost incredulous that they can afford a massive TV with Cable and yet cannot afford to dress their children in clean clothes.
Natalie Cann is a completely different story; she recently attempted to garner sympathy from the public by staying she was trapped in welfare – yes it was the usual ruse of being a victim to an uncaring and cruel society with little or no opportunity.
However that was merely whitewash for Natalie Cann comes from a fairly well-to-do family; her father is a scientist working for the NHS and her stepmother is a manager at a private hospital.
Natalie’s father has spoken out at the disgust he feels for his rebellious daughter and ensures the public that she wasn’t brought up to depend on the nation for a living.
I’ve lost count to the number of articles I’ve written on benefit scroungers and why I feel the entire welfare system needs an overhaul.
Welfare was born out of a conscience; that is we as a nation felt that we should do more to help the poor, educate them and put them on a road to a better future. Unfortunately, the original concept of welfare has gone from one of ‘assistance’ to one of ‘entitlement’.
If you really want to know what is wrong with the current welfare state then you have to acknowledge two things:
Firstly we have become indoctrinated into the ideologies of political correctness. The so-called progressive movement has been anything but progressive for it has silenced us to a point where it appears that we can no longer amend a system that is clearly broken and one that will eventually bankrupt Britain.
The second issue is that of ‘entitlement’ in that welfare is no longer seen as a way to assist people to something more productive but rather a right to scrounge off those who work.
Think of it this way, if you pass a beggar in the street you have the right to refuse giving that person money. Unfortunately with welfare it’s the same situation however this time the Government has legislated ‘giving’ and therefore you are forced by law to hand over your cash.
Image Note: Again living in squalor but the hi-tech gadgets appear to take precedence over the welfare of the children.
I’ve often written articles calling for the scrapping of child benefits. I simply do not see why a taxpayer should be forced to provide for another person’s children. Again I’ll say the same thing – having children is a lifestyle choice and one that should not affect the taxpayer. If you cannot afford to have children then don’t.
As for the likes of Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller, I personally would cut the purse strings, place their children into care and throw Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller out on the street.
Yes, you’re probably thinking that what I’m suggesting is barbaric but who is to blame? Ask yourself this… if you were on a sinking ship which would you save, the children or the parents?
Let me elaborate… you would save the children for these are the real innocent victims in the whole debacle. Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller did have a choice as to the way they lived their lives but these children are just being used as a tool to fleece the taxpayer.
It’s likely these children will grow up with the same mentality; that is life is a free ride at the taxpayer’s expense if you know how to play the game.
Removing these children from their care would allow society to educate these children so that they have a better chance in life and indeed become productive members of society.
Last week I received an email from a very unhappy reader. It was in connection with a recent article whereby I ventured on the possibility of scrapping Child Benefit and the reasons why.
Image Note: What’s more inhumane – letting these children live in squalor with parents who have no sense of perspective or state care where we could give them a better chance in life?
The email basically lambasted me for being a typical rich and uncaring human being. I was accused of being just another dot.com multi-millionaire who just wanted to reduce my taxation bill so that I could keep more for myself.
I responded to the lady’s email by pointing out that I’m as poor as a church mouse; in fact my income is less than £200 a month. Because my earnings are so low I do not pay tax however I do not receive a handout from the taxpayer in any form of benefits.
Yes, you might venture that I’m entitled to do so but that again justifies my point about ‘entitlement’.
The reality is that I have chosen to do what I do and therefore my choice shouldn’t be a burden on the taxpayer.
I am supported by my partner who earns a meager living as a bar worker – we’re not exactly living the high-life and we have no children because we cannot afford to do so.
We both work extremely hard and hopefully one day my little venture might provide a more congenial lifestyle but I believe in working for it; not raping the taxpayer just because I’m entitled to do so.
It’s time the British taxpayer called upon the Government and told them that ‘entitlement’ comes from earning money and that the only ‘entitled’ section of the community are those who pay taxes.
Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller are the personification of everything that is wrong with British society and they will be directly responsible when the British economy finally collapses – yes we are heading for the Greece scenario, but unlike Greece when Britain’s economy finally implodes under the weight of welfare there will not be sufficient funds in the EU to bail us out.
It’s time the taxpayer stood back and realised that Welfare in its current form no longer works and the longer this current climate of ideology is allowed to continue the greater the risk that families like Natalie Cann and Leigh Miller will sink Britain’s economy.
