BREAKING BAD PLAYSET CAUSES OUTRAGE – A toy company has launched a controversial playset that allows adults and children to recreate the crystal meth lab used by Walter White and drug boss Gustavo Fring in the TV hit series Breaking Bad.
The playset actually looks like something LEGO would produce however the owners of LEGO have been quick to release a statement that they are not the makers and would never endorse such a product.
A number of Twitter users have blasted the playset, which sells for £160, as completely inappropriate and something that children should never been subjected to.
The playset comes complete with all manner of paraphernalia including its own drug den, protective mask, figurines and even the car used in Breaking Bad.
According to critics children will be able to build their own meth lab which is utterly inappropriate and shocking. The playset, branded ‘SuperLab’ however as been a sellout; even with its £160 price tag.
Again whilst the playset looks remarkably like LEGO the owners have stated clearly that they have nothing to do with such a product and would never considering making something inappropriate for children to play with.
The company behind the manufacturing is Citizen Brick in the United States and was conceived on the back of the huge popularity of the Breaking Bad series in which a high school chemistry teacher, Walter White, embarks on a journey to make money quickly for his family after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Breaking Bad has been a worldwide hit and has been hailed by critic as a masterpiece. Today Breaking Bad is in its fifth and final series of which millions around the world have tuned into each week.
