CHERIE BLAIR REFUSES TO CURTSEY TO THE QUEEN – When greeting Her Majesty the Queen, it is not just protocol to curtsey, or bow, to the Queen but rather a respectful show of good manners; something that Cherie Blair, wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, appears unable to grasp.
The Queen once remarked; “As soon as I walk into a room, her knees seem to stiffen.”
Of course, while the Queen, for diplomacy reasons, wouldn’t dream of admonishing Cherie Blair publicly, I suspect privately she takes the stance that she is above this commoner and if Cherie Blair doesn’t have the grace or common decency to curtsey then it only reflect badly upon her character.
Cherie Blair recently visited Buckingham Palace, along with many others to receive awards for their services. Before the ceremony attendees are permitted to sign a book which allows them to stop any publicity of the event. This is often used by security or military personnel in order to protect them from real harm.
Before the ceremony Cherie Blair signed the book and ticked the box ‘no publicity’. This meant that no images could be taken for publicity purposes and many believe it was used by Cherie Blair to hide the fact that she did curtsey to the Queen.
When asked Cherie Blair or her personal staff refused to answer the question and simply made the statement that ‘Cherie Blair was deeply honoured to have received her CBE from the Queen in recognition for her charity work.’
It appears almost contradictory that Cherie Blair would even accept such an award, considering her feelings towards the British Monarchy. However, as in true fashion with the Blair’s they will often forego their beliefs if what they are doing personally benefits them.
While Cherie Blair and her husband like to view themselves as ‘modern day icons of the people’ anything could be further from the truth as if Cherie Blair sincerely believed that the Monarchy was an arcane and outdated institution, has she has publicly declared, then why accept the award.
Like most things in life, people of notoriety often forego their moral principles in order of advancement; often in personal wealth.
There is something very disdainful about the likes of Cherie Blair who I feel would be happy to live in a dictatorship with her and her husband at the helm. If only Cherie Blair could take a step back from her own self worth for a moment she would quickly realized just how much Her Majesty the Queen has done for the United Kingdom during her rein and continues to do so, without complaint or fanfare, even at the age of 86.
In closing my article I would like to say that I personally feel that Cherie Blair is a vile woman with no poise or grace, while Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a gracious woman with an abundance of poise and grace, and who has served this nation tirelessly. May long Her Majesty rein.
