COULD NORTH KOREA BE THE CATALYST FOR WOLD WAR 3? – There are many people I have spoken to regarding the recent events with North Korea’s sabre rattling and few seem genuinely concerned that Kim Jong Un will actually make the first move to start a war by firing his missiles at Guam or any other target.
War is an expensive occupation for any country, although it has to be said that war is also highly profitable if you are the one’s making the bullets. If war does break out most perceive that North Korea wouldn’t be able to sustain aggression for any extended period of time due to its limited resources, but then again if China and Russia stand by its side, of which both have said they will, then not only could we see a long drawn out war it could in fact turn into World War 3 with nuclear consequences.
As I was about to write yet another update on the tensions a friend of mine suggested I watch the video above. If you have already watched it then ask yourself; if this is just another conspiracy or is what was shown sound reasoning for the creation of World War 3?
There is no question that North Korea has a number of valid reasons to despise the South Koreans and the primary supporters, the United States. Nearly all sanctions against North Korea have been U.S led and many, even outside North Korea, believe that the U.S interferes in too much in the running and conduct of other sovereign nations.
At the other end of the scales is North Korea’s persistence in testing rockets and conducting an underground nuclear test in February 2013. North Korea, in recent times has also been seen as the aggressor especially with the sinking of a South Korean Navy ship on March 26th 2010 where 46 South Korean sailors lost their lives. After this incident the North Koreans once again took the media spotlight with its artillery shelling of Yeonpyeong Island in November 2010 killing two South Korean soldiers and dozens more injured.
North Korea certainly took offense at the joint military exercises where the U.S flew nuclear capable Stealth Bombers along the border line in a show of its strike capabilities and this was obviously seen as a provocative move by the North Koreans.
Going back to the video… The idea here is to create an open debate on the issue and garner views from my readers. Do you think that the video has any real merit? Do you think that this could escalate into World War 3? Do you think the U.N is right to continuously impose sanctions on North Korea?
