Creating Your Article – Help File

This article will give you a brief, but concise, walk-through on creating an article on Meebal.com.

Step One – Getting Started

The graphic below is self explanatory and shows you where the ‘Title’ of your article should be inserted and where the ‘body text’ of your article should go.

Note carefully the minimum word count – it must be a minimum of 500 words to be considered for publishing.

DO NOT place your ‘Author’s Bio’ within the Body Text.  You many create this information in your Profile Settings.

Step Two – Adding Elements

Articles are generally far more entertaining if they include graphics.  It is a proven fact that people will spend more time reading an article and read it all the way through if it is broken up with images or video.

Creating an Article - Step 2

You can see from the ‘Tool Bar’ that there are a number of elements you can add, including Media, manipulating text, such as Bold or Italic, to adding URL links to words – the chain-link button is used for such a purpose.

Try experimenting with your article so that its layout and content are easy and entertaining to read.

Step 3 – Choosing a Category

There are a number of categories to choose from so try to pick one that is relevant to your article.  Don’t worry too much as we will check this and may even changed your chosen category during editorial review.

Step 4 – Including Video (if you have it)

You can see from the image below that you are able to include Video in your article.  Using this section will NOT place the video within the ‘Body Text’ but will instead feature the video above the article once published.  Note that you may include Youtube, Vimeo or Daily Motion videos in this section by selecting the right one in the drop-down menu.

Creating an Article - Step 5

If you would like to include YouTube Video within the Body Text then simply insert:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

and then follow this with the videos code, such as -hPX3vFsIH4

IMPORTANT - The video, if inserted into the Body Text MUST be on a line of its own.
