CUT TAXES OR BRITAIN IS DOOMED TO A DEEPER RECESSION – Lord Forsyth has advised the Prime Minister that he needs to get a handle on the situation and feel the pulse of Britain, if he has any chance of bringing the UK out of the recession.
Furthermore, Lord Forsyth has accused George Osborne, the Chancellor, that he needs to stop talking about austerity and work on a budget that brings prosperity.
This is plain talking and something the UK really needs if it is going to recover and recover quickly enough in time for the next General Election, if Cameron ever wants to put his backside in the Prime Minister chair again.
Currently David Cameron and his Government Ministers appear to be on a spree of vows and promises and while admirable to some extent, as it shows he does have some understanding of what the people want, it is a far cry from the action that is so desperately needed.
Is it any wonder why the conservatives came last place in the Eastleigh by-elections? I am not convinced that the public wanted the Liberal Democrats but faced with a choice of the Conservatives who appear out of touch or unwilling to act or the UKIP which is an unknown entity the public simply plumped for the only party they could, but maybe this was just to send a clear message to David Cameron of how the people actually feel… lost in the seas of hope and inadequacies.
In the last seven days we’ve had promises of pulling out of the European Court of Human Rights, so that we can deport criminals and terrorist, the scraping of the Human Rights Act, so we can get tougher on crime committed by UK citizens and talks of an EU Referendum. Again, all great speeches and rhetoric but where is the action?
Right now there appears to be a plan to help recover the economy and that is to cut Public Spending so that taxes can be cut to help family have more in their pockets to spend. The only problem with this is that the Conservatives are looking at the massive Welfare spending and the Liberal Democrats are looking at the Military spending.
The Liberal Democrats have vowed to veto any moves on pulling out of the EU or the European Court of Human Rights and tearing up the Human Rights Act is simply not acceptable. When it comes to spending cuts the Liberal Democrats are adamant that Welfare cuts should not be made.
This is the stark truth of the Liberal Democrats – they are more than happy to leave our Armed Personnel on the battle field ill-equipped and yet they’ll rape the taxpayer even harder to ensure that those unwilling to work are able to live off everyone else. The most disturbing truth is the fact that by supporting the European Court of Human Rights and the Human Rights Act they are openly declaring that the UK welcomes murderers, rapists, organized crime and terrorists.
David Cameron needs to exert himself and put his cabinet in order. By following up on the promises and vows he has made to the British people, all of which they appear to want, and then he and his conservative party may just see a re-election in 2015.
One thing is for sure… If government spending isn’t cut then neither will be the taxes and this can only lead to the recession and hardship in the UK deepening.
