DELUSIONAL CLEGG TRIES TO COME ACROSS AS AN ORDINARY GUY – For those of us who are not heavily medicated or delusional we fully understand that a politician is little more than a skilled liar.
Yes, they do slip up from time to time and blurt out a modicum of truth but I can assure you that this is totally unintentional for lying is the name of the game.
You might often wonder why you read the newspapers and shake your head in disbelief at the lies politicians tell, but the truth, for the main stay, is that most of the public really don’t want the truth – we really do want to believe that our Government is doing a great job and has everything under control.
With all the news of the existing coalition falling apart; simply because one set of liars can’t agree with the other set on what yarn to spin next, it appears obvious that Nick Clegg is unlikely to be the Liberal Democrat leader come the 2015 General Election.
Not to worry for Nick Clegg will still have access to the taxpayer’s purse and this will be either through a lesser job within the British Government or he’ll land himself a nice cushy little number in Brussels – either way his lifestyle and bank account won’t be affect; I’m sure you’re relieved to know that.
Now Nick Clegg currently has a pretty powerful job; he’s the one, as Deputy Prime Minister, who gets to disagree with everything the Government wants to do and after he’s finished stamping his feet he then veto’s everything.
With a job like this Nick Clegg certainly doesn’t want to lose it and he’s now pulling out all the stops in order to get party members and the general public to support his current tenure.
Nick Clegg’s latest party conference speech in Glasgow touched on the subject of the ‘ordinary’ people and that Nick Clegg feels that he is just the same as the ordinary working man.
I really find it offensive when politicians refer to the likes of us as ‘ordinary’ for I don’t feel ordinary at all; in fact I’m very remarkable and so are you.
We are all completely unique with differing aspirations and outlooks on life and who is Nick Clegg to call us ordinary.
The truth is he thinks he really understands what us ‘ordinary’ folks go through when trying to carve out an existence in austerity ridden Britain.
Nick Clegg’s remarks clearly show that the Liberal Democrats stance that we are all equal is a lie. You shouldn’t have to feel disconnected if a ‘class’ system didn’t exist; as purported by the Liberal Democrats and its leader Nick Clegg.
Unfortunately anyone believing that a class system doesn’t exist in Britain is either a politician (liar) or completely delusional.
If Nick Clegg considers himself ‘ordinary’ I wonder why it is that he’s not trying to scrap by on minimum wage.
There’s also the fact that Nick Clegg owns a £1.5 million townhouse and has free access to a £7 million Swiss ski chalet.
I wonder how many of us so-called ‘ordinary’ folks has a salary exceeding £135,000 a year and who is married to someone who gets paid £600,000 a year. If this is how Nick Clegg thinks the ‘ordinary’ man lives then I’d buy and bottle whatever medication he’s on for if you really fancy a trip to another planet this is the stuff.
It’s fine for Nick Clegg to attempt to paint himself as an ordinary working husband and family man; if that’s how his delusional mind works but his speech yesterday was not only condescending but also showed a complete and utter lack of knowledge on how us ‘ordinary’ folks scrap by.
The issue here is that Nick Clegg is attempting to connect with the public and party members, on a more ‘personal’ level and yet he can never fully comprehend what our lives are like.
If Nick Clegg was that interested he’d dump his vast salary and work for minimum wage; and get his wife to do the same. After that move him and his family into a deprived area of London into a council house.
Nick Clegg did hint in his speech that he wouldn’t be a politician forever and that he too will join the ranks and files of the ordinary British worker so that he could devote more time to his children.
Obviously Nick Clegg hasn’t quite grasped the reality that the average working man doesn’t have much time for his children because he’s having to work all those extra hours to pay for the austerity measures that this Government has imposed.
There was one part of his speech where I nearly choked on my instant coffee – it was black, strong and without sugar for this was the only substance that would keep me awake.
Nick Clegg actually has the affront to say that the Liberal Democrats ‘speak like humans’ – now I’m not sure what he was thinking but it does have overtones of deliberate discrimination for it looks like he is suggesting that us ‘ordinary’ folk needs things explaining in simple terms for it is unlikely that we would fully comprehend anything he considers complicated.
I feel really insulted and yet Nick Clegg is not the only one to treat us like imbeciles who are incapable of thinking or understanding the political climate.
I have to be honest I’ve never voted Liberal Democrat; they are far too delusional and wishy-washy for my taste but to have someone like this invertebrate tell me and other hard working people that we are ‘ordinary’ and basically ‘thick’ is beyond the joke.
There is one benefit here for Nick Clegg’s speech is a clear and concise message in that the likes of Nick Clegg are far above us, not only in material wealth but also of intelligence and we are commonly referred to as the ‘ordinary’ people.
