DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE GIVES BIRTH TO A BABY BOY – Buckingham Palace announced that at 8:30pm yesterday evening the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a healthy baby boy and heir to the British throne.
The Duchess and her son are reported to be doing well and will remain in hospital overnight. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are said to be delighted and thrilled at the news.
The Duchess was taken to hospital at around 5:30pm after experiencing labour pains; she was accompanied by Prince William, now second in line to the Throne after his father Prince Charles.
Doctors have reported that Her Royal Highness gave birth naturally and was not induced into labour as some have speculated.
Hundreds of press photographers continue to camp outside St. Mary’s Hospital in order to capture those all important first images of the future King of England.
It is certainly a joyous occasion in the UK as the deep love the British has for its monarchy is publicly displayed with delight on this announcement.
The next step now will be for the release of the first photographs of HRH William and Katie with the new heir to the throne on the steps of St. Mary’s as they leave hospital and announce the little ones name.
