EU AGAIN SPITS IN THE FACE OF BRITISH JUSTICE – European judges at Strasbourg have ruled that even Britain’s most notorious murderers must be allowed to seek parole in accordance with the European Convention on Human Rights.
There are a number of convicted killers that should never be allowed the liberty to walk the streets of Britain including notorious killers such as Jeremy Bamber, Peter Moore, Rosemary West, Ian Brady and the list goes on.
When each of these convicted murderers was sentenced each and every one of the judges imposed a sentence that would never permit them their freedom due to the extreme danger they pose to public safety.
Once again EU judges are trampling on British justice that now forces the justice system to allow these murders the right to a parole hearing and possible freedom.
As usual with the EU it delivers something that is not only offensive to the British public but spits in the face of the victims’ families with utter contempt and insensitivity.
The ruling now gives all murders and rapists, who were condemned to die behind bars a chance at freedom regardless to the danger they impose.
Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling, described the EU ruling as; “A terrible day for British justice.” Chris Grayling is of course perfectly correct but I would venture to go further and label EU judges as a misguided bunch of idiotic fools with nothing but contempt for the British justice system or the people.
The Home Secretary, Theresa May fought long and hard with the ECHR in order to get Abu Qatada deported. Ten long years our Government fought with the ECHR so as to comply with EU Human Rights legislation which clearly shows that the Human Rights laws have been enshrined into law not to protect the innocent but to allow criminals the opportunity to commit more crime.
If ever there was a travesty of justice and a reason to pull away from the ECHR and the EU as a whole now is the time; for some of the worst murderers and rapists could be walking our streets again if we do not.
According to prison records there are currently 48 men and women in our prisons where the judge at trial imposed a whole-life tariff which will never allow them freedom – they will, as they should, die behind high walls.
Many of the families who are victims of these murderers, including the likes of Rosemary West and Ian Brady, have voiced their disgust at the EU ruling. The notion that any of these people could be allowed their freedom is horrendous and that anyone being convicted of a crime so heinous to warrant a life sentence should be expected to live the rest of their days behind bars without ever having the possibility of parole.
Of course that notion is one of common sense; who in their right mind would want any of these people to be allowed freedom knowing what they have done and knowing what they are capable of.
Unfortunately the EU has little regard for victims and their families. The Liberal Left-Wing machine is running at full speed and the only thing that appears to matter is the ideology of political correctness and where criminals are simply victims of a misguided society.
How did such a travesty of justice come to pass? As usual it comes initially from the prisoners themselves who invoke the Human Rights Act. Once this take place a lawyer steps in to fight such a case in the European Courts at the expense of the taxpayer.
Three of the most notorious murderers initiated this bid for freedom, including Jeremy Bamber, Douglas Vinter and Peter Moore; all of whom are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole.
As we have come to expect from the EU it didn’t take EU judges long before being persuaded that these unfortunate people have Human Rights and therefore ruled that refusing a parole hearing was both ‘inhumane’ and ‘degrading’ and breached Article 3 of the ECHR.
Will these people be release into society? That will depend on a number of factors including whether the parole board is made up of right thinking and sane individuals or a bunch of liberal left-wing do-gooders who are convinced we should strive to forgive in order to create a Utopian society.
Once again the Government is threatening to pull out of the ECHR as their continuous rulings are favouring the criminals. The ECHR judges are being accused of being misguided and trying to exert the powers like the ultimate Supreme Court of Europe.
We simply cannot and must not allow the EC and the ECHR to continue eroding and making a mockery of the British justice system. It is time this Government stepped up to the plate an initiated an emergency referendum on our involvement in Europe.
We now stand on the precipice looking down into the abyss and if we do not make a stand against the EU it won’t be long before the ECHR will rule that even imprisoning a person, regardless to a length of time, would be illegal and against a person’s human rights.
