FIVE CHILDREN EXECUTED IN WESTGATE MASSACRE – According to the Kenyan authorities no less than five children were executed by the terrorist group Al-Shabab during the attack on the Westgate Shopping Mall.
Some of the young children were shot no less than five times each and one 16 year old girl, Nehal Vekariya, was executed whilst he talked with her mother on the phone.
During the terrorist attack it was revealed that a Children’s Cookery show was being filmed and that members of the Al-Shabab terrorist organisation deliberately targeted the children in order take their revenge over the Kenyan Governments involvement in sending in troops to Somalia.
Some of the children, as young as five years of age, were callously executed; in total 67 people were murdered, six of those being British citizens.
Many of the world’s media has reported witnesses giving chilling accounts of children being deliberately targeted by the terrorist group – it appeared nothing short of the ultimate terror tactic for any person that is able to murder an innocent child in cold blood is capable of any heinous crime against humanity.
According to the Sunday Times witnesses heard the terrorists talking to a number of the hostages and told them; “You didn’t spare our women and children, so why should we spare yours.”
During the assault members of the Al-Shabab group also decapitated a number of hostages and threw the heads at opposing forces as a warning that they would continue executing hostages if security forces didn’t move back.
During the attack members of the Al-Shabab group also took to twittering their progress; often saying that this would be a fight to the death and that there would be no negotiating with Kenyan authorities.
Currently eight terrorist suspects have been detained whilst three have been freed after Kenyan authorities determined they were in fact hostages; at least five members of the terrorist group were killed during the final assault.
The Westgate massacre is yet another poignant reminder as to how far religious terrorist groups will go for their beliefs which only leads many to believe that not only is religion evil but that religion has no place in the modern world – how anyone can commit such an atrocity in the name of any God is simply reprehensible.
The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, told the press that this latest terrorist attack is a clear reminder that we must remain vigilant at all times and that there are those who will stop at nothing, even murdering innocent children, in order to further their cause.
