GEORGE OSBORNE PARTY CONFERENCE SPEECH DELIVERS 7 MORE YEARS OF AUSTERITY – We’re all in this together… yes once again the Tory Party slogan rings the bells of rhetoric for the lifestyle of those in Government do not reflect, in any way, that we are all in this together.
Taking just the Prime Minister alone, David Cameron; he has already managed four holidays this year – I wonder how many of you have indeed managed one?
According to George Osborne there are notable signs of an economy recovery and that after the next election the public will be rewarded with tax cuts – I was wondering how long it would take for yet another Minister to stand on the Party Conference podium and throw the public a bone; one I might add that has very little meat to it.
Alas all party conference speeches are the same and rarely differ from one party to another as they promise the public access to the land of milk and honey; providing we vote them in.
George Osborne even had the gall to use Margaret Thatcher as an example of how strong the Tory Party is and that it’s leader has a vision – I choked on my sardine sandwich at that connotation as there is not one of them with the spine that Baroness Thatcher had during her tenure.
It’s the usual fair of lies and subterfuge – our economy, according to Mr. Osborne will be in the black by 2020 and we will all be rewarded with lower taxes; after all we are all in this together.
The current coalition government has been in power since 2010 and yet little has really been achieved. We are still tied up in the greed, corruption and incompetence of the European Union of which we are forcibly made to pay.
We suffer through mass immigration to which again, the EU forces us not to prevent; we can’t even effectively deport known terrorists or criminals and our welfare system is floundering under the weight of the ‘entitlement’ culture.
We have allowed our country to become a multicultural hotpot where almost no national identity exists; in fact put out your Union Jack or English flag and it’s likely you’ll be labeled a racist, a bigot or both.
Great Britain, it lost the title of ‘Great’ years ago and within the next 10 years, if we stay in the EU, there won’t even be a Britain; it will be Europe’s dumping ground for every EU economic refugee that requires a better lifestyle through the taxpayer funded ‘entitlement’ welfare system.
Is this Government really listening to the people? We’ve been constantly asking for an EU referendum. Yes, David Cameron has promised one in 2017 but that’s only if he is re-elected and by that time it will probably be far too late.
Yesterday we had the incident of Colonel Brazier admonished the Defence Secretary, Philip Hammond – did he listen? No, in fact Colonel Brazier was told to shut up and then escorted off the premises by security; so much for having the democratic right to be heard.
As with any government plans there is good and bad news. In the past seven days we’ve been subjected to all manner of changes but only in the lead up to the General Election have these now started to come forth. Here’s a sample of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly…
Why has it taken Government nearly 3 years before finally taking action – you could take the skeptical approach and say that they were all being held back in order to have sufficient ammunition for the coming General Election.
Will these plans and measures be enough to secure a re-election in 2015? Currently the polls would suggest not but those were taken before the Party Conferences began and the mood of the people and the perception of their vote will no doubt change over the coming months.
The thing that appears crystal clear to me is that no matter who the public votes in at the next General Election, it is likely the result will be yet more lies and rhetoric and as Colonel Brazier witnessed; the voice of democracy will be crushed at every opportunity in order to set their own agenda for their own financial and political gain.
