Ghost in the Elevator Prank

GHOST IN THE ELEVATOR PRANK –  Is this the scariest prank ever to be played on the unsuspecting public?  A Brazilian television show set up the prank to capture the reaction of people entering an elevator only to find, as it moves up a couple of floors, that it experiences power failure and the lights begin to go on and off.

Now for many, being in an elevator is bad enough but how would we react if the power failed?  Not content with just this concept the Brazilian television show took things a step further by introducing a ghost of a young girl in a nightgown clutching a teddy bear.  The result?  Well it’s what most people would expect, some very terrified unsuspecting people.

This type of entertainment is debatable as to whether it is actually entertaining or in fact extremely sick.  What is worrying, considering those individuals subjected to this for entertainment purposes, is how far did the Brazilian television show go to ensure that these unwilling participants did not suffer from any serious health ailments such as a heart condition.

We as humans do an awful lot to entertain ourselves, often at the expense of others.  So, watch the video above and make your own determination… Funny, entertaining or plain sick and irresponsible?  You decide.

UPDATE… The Brazilian TV Show has just released another version of this video.  This time using a Corpse in a Coffin. If this is your thing the then Corpse in the Elevator Prank is going to be just the thing to keep you amused.

Before you go off laughing, remember a prank can turn into a disaster as was the recent case of a Radio Show in Australia that played a Prank Call on a Nurse at UK Hospital.  The tragic result was that the nurse took her own life as a result – see updated story – such clearly proves that pranks, regardless of how funny they appear to some, can have life threatening consequences to others.

This was too funny, I laughed every time the little girl screamed. But of course I am not in the elevator, had I been I know without a doubt that I would have been terrified. Probably would have screamed right along with her.
This may seem reckless but consider the people on the clip. They appear to be healthy, not elderly or infirm, nor handicapped in any way. There was obviously some criteria set to limit the risk of causing harm. This doesn’t negate responsibilty had something gone wrong, they were fortunate that nothing did.
