GOOGLE CEO ERIC SCHMIDT MEETS CAMERON BUT PM REFUSES TO QUESTION SCHMIDT ON TAX AVOIDANCE – There are no doubt many honest, hardworking British Taxpayers’ and Businesses that will view Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt as nothing more than a crook who avoids paying tax on the vast profits Google makes from its UK operations each year.
The truth of the matter is that Schmidt is a highly astute businessman and he is going what his shareholders demand of him. If David Cameron had just a quarter of Eric Schmidt’s acumen I guarantee you the UK wouldn’t be in the position it is today.

Unfortunately the Government is NOT run by professionals and who are moreover inept, spineless, incompetent and corrupt and the UK will never see prosperity whilst such people govern.
Yesterday David Cameron held talks with Eric Schmidt as part of the Prime Minister’s ‘elite’ Business Advisory Group but miraculously failed to question Google’s CEO over its highly public Tax Avoidance schemes that have resulted in Google paying less than £10 million on profits over £11.9billion during the period 2006 to 2011.
At the end of the meeting Eric Schmidt attempted to leave via the ‘tradesman’s’ entrance to avoid photographers and reporters who would have asked questions on Google’s tax avoidance questions.
A senior Liberal Democrat Peer last night remarked that he failed to understand why the Prime Minister had not tackled Schmidt over Google’s tax avoidance and finds it extraordinary that the Prime Minister hasn’t removed Schmidt from the Business Advisory Group.
So, what’s in it for David Cameron? Is he on the take or does he simply not have the spine to stand up and ask? I have to say in all my years I cannot recall the last time I witnessed a Prime Minister with so little in the way of attributes and yet so much in the way of outright incompetence.
Last week Barney Jones, an ex-Google sales employee blew the whistle on Google’s practices of avoiding high taxation in the UK by funneling sales through Ireland and then onto the tax haven of Bermuda. While Google continues to rake in vast sums of cash through its deceptive and manipulative business practices it almost appears that the Internet Giant is untouchable.
It was only recently that Google was found guilty of manipulating its own search engine in order to quash its competition, something the U.S Justice Department found them not guilty of and yet the EU Commission, a year later, uncovered a vast amount of unethical and unfair trade practices. Google has vowed to cease and desist and yet Google has still not shown any visible signs of stopping the practice of manipulating its search engine results for its own commercial gain.
Ask any small online business what they think of Google and its search engine and it’s most unlikely that you’ll get a favourable response. Recently we reported the news that Hometipster.com, an online Home and Garden website, has long battled Google’s search engines and recently decided enough was enough and is now concentrating its efforts on Social Networking in order to bring in the visitors it needs to survive. At the last time of reporting Hometipster.com has shown an increase of over 50% in visitors since ignoring Google Search rankings and concentrated on real people.
“More websites need to join the fight against Google because our content is used to make their search engine useful to users while it continues to manipulate its own search results in order to kill off the competition to its competing services. The Social Networks, properly used, are far more advantageous that Google and Google will only continue to squeeze out competitors if we allow them.” Hometipster.com spokesman
Google of course will continue its practices of Tax Avoidance while the current tax legislation allows for it. It will also continue to take full advantage of the weak and incompetent David Cameron and I am afraid when it comes to what is good for the British Public and British Business David Cameron is not only clueless but also couldn’t care less.
I honestly feel that Cameron’s days are numbered and we could see an uprising in the Tory Party before long that will remove him from the PMs office and this needs doing sooner rather than later if the Tory Party wants any chance of winning the next General Election.
Should David Cameron have asked Google’s CEO about their Tax Avoidance practices? Should David Cameron step down as Prime Minister? Have your say… leave your comments below.
