GRAYLING URGES TORY MPS TO SCRAP THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT – According to Chris Grayling, now is the time for Tory Action and not merely empty words and promises, and has promised to scrap the highly controversial Human Rights Act.
It was only yesterday that the Home Secretary, Theresa May, promised to pull out of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) due to the invasive level of interference it has with British Law and notably the power to stop the UK Courts from deporting criminals and terrorists.
The ECHR and the UK Human Rights Act go hand in hand in preventing justice being administered to those who commit crime.
Have our MP’s finally woken up and listened to the British public? It would, on the surface, appear so, but again there is a worrying trend to these forceful words of action and that is, as with David Cameron promising an EU Referendum, it is wrapped up on the condition that he Conservatives win the next election by a majority vote.
Once again I am left feeling that the Conservatives are trying to blackmail the British public through a series of so-called ‘Positive Actions’ on the provision they are re-elected by a majority vote.
What many people are asking is; ‘Why can’t the government call an EU Referendum now and move to scrap the Human Rights Act now?’
It would, on the face of it, seem the most logical of questions and the right thing for the Government to do. In fact it could show the British public that the Tory’s are full of zeal and are ready to spring into action on the will of the people. Take this a step further and consider that if a referendum is provided now and the British public decided to pull out of Europe, this would remove the fears that the UK will be flooded with EU economic refugees from both Romanian and Bulgaria, due to the looming ‘Right of Free Movement Act’ in 2014.
Just think, if the government simply tore up the Human Rights Act it could finally put British justice back on track and we finally be rid of the foreign criminals and terrorists that reside in the UK.
So what’s stopping them? Are the Tory’s word merely hollow so as to sound as if they are tackling the big issues or are they simply holding the British people to ransom… give us power in 2015 and we’ll give you results?
Unfortunately during the last General Election the British people couldn’t quite make up their minds who they wanted in power and so a Coalition Government was formed and the result is a Tory / Liberal Democrat Government, and its here, with the Lib Dems, that the problems arise.
The Liberal Democrats are, by nature, the political correctness police. They believe that that the world should be one big happy family and that we should all work together for the greater good and respect others ways of life. Unfortunately, like communism, this doesn’t work in the real world, Russia is testament to that.
Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat, Deputy Prime Minister has already come out to say that any move to pull out of the ECHR would be vetoed by him and the Liberal Democrats. He has also made it perfectly clear that pulling out of Europe is not an option and therefore the British people will simply have to get on with the fact that the UK is going to be overrun with immigrants, criminals and terrorists, just so the Liberal Democrats can stand up and say that they are humanitarians and politically correct.
