INSIDE AN RAF TYPHOON COCKPIT: INCREDIBLE SIMULATOR EXPERIENCE – Being a fighter pilot has to be one of the most thrilling jobs in the world and without doubt a thrill seekers dream.
In the video above you get to experience what it’s like travelling at high speed during a combat mission as the video takes you on a journey that puts you right behind the cockpit of the latest RAF frontline fighter jets the Typhoon.
Throughout the 6 minute flight you’ll get to experience what it’s like to fly upside down, soar at blistering speeds across the stunning landscape of the Lake District and the Welsh valleys with heights ranging from just 250ft off the deck to a dizzying 40,000ft; giving you a clear view of the earth’s curvature.
During development of the fighter jet it was widely referred to as the Euro-Fighter due to a collaborative effort of being designed and constructed by a number of companies based throughout the European Union; these companies included BAE Systems, Airbus and Alenia Aermacchi.
The Euro-Fighter or what is now officially known as the Typhoon began development as far back as 1983 and a prototype took its inaugural flight in March 1994; in September 1998 the Euro-Fighter was officially renamed Typhoon.
