JEREMY HUNT BRANDED A HYPOCRITE BY CHARITY GROUPS – Ever since Jeremy Hunt opened his mouth to declare that Britain is an uncaring society towards the elderly we at meebal.com went on the counter offensive calling Jeremy Hunt a hypocrite; and it now looks like people are beginning to wake up to the fact.
Yesterday the Daily Mail published an article on how it uncovered the disturbing truth that 37% of elderly daycare centres have been closed since 2010 due to Government cutbacks – or rather cutbacks that Jeremy Hunt imposed on the elderly.
Since the Daily Mail is an extremely high profile international news organisation it wasn’t long before people started to sit up and take notice and soon after a number of charity groups finally branded Jeremy Hunt a hypocrite.
Hello! What have we been saying all along? The truth is that whilst meebal.com continues to gain more readers it certainly doesn’t have the same readership as the Goliath Daily Mail but that’s fine with us as long as the message gets out there and people become enlightened then it’s frankly irrelevant who breaks the story.
You will remember the article that we published after Jeremy Hunt had the audacity to declare us an uncaring nation and that he feels we should take a leaf out of China’s book and take our elderly into our homes and care for them.
Yes Jeremy’s wife is Chinese and we’re sure she’s a lovely person; however Jeremy’s remarks are not only ill conceived they are also highly offensive.
Jeremy ought to do a little research in to the caring society that he feels China is famous for. The elderly live with their siblings for the simple fact that they have nowhere else to go; the Chinese Government certainly don’t care about these people.
Take a look at China’s orphanages and see the deplorable state in how they ‘care’ for those children. Yes there have been numerous undercover documentaries which reveal the deplorable conditions in which orphaned children are kept; a situation exasperated by the ‘one-child’ policy and the stupidity of the Chinese who feel that having a baby girl is a lesser importance to having a boy.
Apart from lauding a country or a system of social care that Jeremy Hunt obviously knows nothing about his comments regarding the British lack of care is beyond comprehension.
Here is a man that refused, alongside his chum David Cameron, to sack Sir David Nicholson, the chief executive of the NHS. It was, as you will recall, Sir David that was directly responsible for the deaths of over 1,200 patients at Mid-Staffordshire hospital and then attempted to cover it up.
During the whole debacle, and despite public outcry, Sir David also attempted to silence the whistleblowers by paying them off – he even awarded the No.2 job to Dame Barbara Hakin for her role in helping him to attempt to cover up the whole affair; and all under the watch and direction of Jeremy Hunt.
According to the Daily Mail there have been nearly 33,000 elderly people who have lost access to daycare centres due to his incessant drive to cut costs. Yes we’re sure Jeremy Hunt’s parents are not subjected to the same level of Government care.
You have to stand back for a moment and realise that Britain is being bankrupted by the social welfare system. The Pension’s scheme first introduced in 1909 was a romantic notion that we could afford, through taxation and other deductions from the taxpayer’s wage packet, to provide the elderly with benefits for the remainder of their lives.
Of course our elderly population is getting larger as people are living longer; the fact is that Britain is flat broke and continues to borrow more money in order to prop up its failed economy.
Oh yes the Chancellor recently announced a 0.8% growth in GDP and that we are now seeing positive signs of a recovery. Unfortunately the truth is that the recovery will eventually result in the rise of interest rates and once that transpires Britain will inevitably default on its debt.
It’ll be 1976 all over again where the Government will have to go cap-in-hand to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout.
Don’t be deluded into thinking that Britain will receive a bailout from the EU – Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Ireland have stripped the coffers bare; this fact is evident when you look at how the EU is now demanding more cash from EU member states so that it can afford to meet its own financial obligations.
If you thought that the events in Greece were bad then brace yourself for when Britain does finally go bust it will make Greece look like a picnic on a sunny afternoon by a lakeside.
Despite this known fact by Government most British citizens either don’t know or refuse to acknowledge the dilapidated state of Britain’s financial state.
However, we and the Government do have a responsibility to take care of our parent and grandparents.
Whilst Britain maybe facing bankruptcy on a scale unseen in the European Union there are some that feel that our National Health Service could perform much better and at a vastly reduced cost if we were to drastically cut all the dead wood of administration.
It is astounding to think that in the late 1800’s when Britain ruled one quarter of the globe the entire administrative network consisted of just 4,000 civil servants. Fast forward to 2013 and we now have over 500,000 – can you now see the problem in this picture?
The truth is that we are ‘over-administrated’ and the likes of Jeremy Hunt is quite frankly surplus to requirement, along with his multiple deputies, secretaries, executives, mid-level executives, senior managers, middle-managers… well you get the idea.
If you want to see the face of ignorance then find a mirror in your house and take a good long look. We’re not berating you for being ignorant for such a trait is only ever produced by what information you are fed and when it comes to the likes of Jeremy Hunt well I’m afraid that this particular breed of politician is pretty much the same as any other – their job is to keep you ignorant so that they can actually have a job; and one that pays exceedingly well for them and their cronies.
We complain that our NHS and Welfare system as a whole is under-fund but the truth is that it is over-managed. The costs will continue to rise as MPs and Minister find new ways to cover up their continued incompetency whilst inflating their salaries.
5 Years… At meebal.com 5 years is our best guess that Britain’s economy will implode and then of course the NHS and indeed all areas of welfare will no longer be available.
This Government, along with the last and no doubt the next, will continue to spend and support the vast growing network of civil servants.
Currently the British National Debt stands at 508% of GDP – that is the British Government spends five times what it manages to generate and this doesn’t take into consideration the future costs such as pensions.
What Britain needs is a political party who refuses to whitewash or cover up the truth and we need a Government that is willing to slash Welfare, channel money into the NHS and elderly and cut 95% or more of civil servants from the loop – if Jeremy Hunt had the slightest idea of what he was doing he too would see that his job is surplus to requirements and resign gracefully.
