Joan Rivers Will Not Apologise For Holocaust Joke

JOAN RIVERS WILL NOT APOLOGISE FOR HOLOCAUST JOKE - If you are not familiar with Joan Rivers, she is an 80 yr. old Jewish woman who was a comedian for years and currently hosts her own show, “Fashion Police,” where she and three fellow “police” judge, rate and criticize anyone and everyone  in Hollywood or the music industry for their fashion choices. No one is safe from her dripping sarcasm and razor tongue.

Heidi Klum in her controversial Oscar dress

The incident on the video centers around the following comment made by Ms. Rivers about the former super model Heidi Klum and her clothing choice for the Oscar

“The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into the ovens.” Joan Rivers

I am sure you were just as shocked and offended by what she is calling a joke as I was and then to add further insult to an already awkward situation, she is not only defensive but does not appear to be embarrassed at all in any of the follow-up interviews.  Amidst all the negative press and public reaction one would think that Ms. Rivers would realize how inappropriate her comment was and feel the effect this has made on the public.  Perhaps thinking she is an icon of Hollywood she believes she is above making amends.

Joan Rivers has come out in an interview to say that she will not apologise for the Holocaust joke, regarding comparing how Heidi Klum hotness was compared to a Jewish concentration camp oven.

It is time for Ms. Rivers to face the music, make some joke about how her mouth got away from her and then in all sincerity apologize to Ms. Klum and to every Jew and German for her abhorrent remark. Will it happen?  Perhaps a private apology to Ms Klum, but I don’t see her humbling herself before the public.  She will simply go on about her life as if nothing happened.
