JUSTIN HINES: CLEARLY INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC – It was dark outside and the heating was on full blast. I didn’t feel overly happy and there was nothing on the TV that remotely interested me.
I stared at my laptop thinking about what I could write next, but I was so tired of all the bad news; trust me it’s difficult finding news that lifts the spirit, as most of it is doom and gloom. I decided to clear my head, pour a nice glass of Malt Whiskey, light up a cigar and just listen and watch some music videos on YouTube.
Don’t ask me how exactly I found Justin Hines, I think like most things we discover online, it is simply by accident or by fate.
Justin Hines is a remarkable singer song writer. He’s right up there with the likes of Tracy Chapman and his music is extremely inspirational stuff.
Born with a rare genetic condition, Larsen’s syndrome, Justin is wheelchair bound and despite his obvious disability he feel that it is this that makes him unique and gets him noticed; and in fact he’s right.
Justin is a strong believer of supporting charities and has performed numbers fund raising events over the years before creating his own charitable fundraising foundation the Justine Hines Foundation, which focuses its attention on people with disabilities.
Even at a very early age Justin has a deep appreciation and love of music and as he grew so too did his passion. At the tender age of 14 Justin experienced his first taste of success after winning a radio contest; in which hundreds of people participated. The prize allowed Justin to sing to a packed audience at the Toronto Raptors game in which he receive the crowds admiration for his talent – from then on there was no stopping the young Justin Hines.
Justine’s first album ‘Sides’ was created in collaboration with music producer Justin Abedin, which was an overnight success with existing and growing number fans.
His second album ‘Chasing Silver’ followed in June, 2009, which included the hit single “Say What You Will’, which became the No.1 downloaded singer/songwriter track within just 2 days of it beginning made available.
To date Justin has continued to tour the world and spreading his inspirational music that is design, in my opinion, to lift our spirits and let us know that we are never alone. Justin is simply an incredible artist and one, which on that cold winters evening, several years ago, I was so pleased to discover.
