Lee Rigby Murderers Sentenced to Whole-Life

LEE RIGBY MURDERERS SENTENCED TO WHOLE-LIFE – During the sentencing of Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale for the brutal murder of Lee Rigby both men turned violent; hurtling abuse at the judge, Lee Rigby’s family members and fighting with prison guards.

During the affray both men shouted abuse and declared, “Allahu Akbar; You people in Britain and in America will never be safe”.

Whilst Michael Adebolajo, 29, was handed down a whole-life sentence, his co-conspirator Michael Adebowale, 22, was given just 45 years; it is estimated that with time served and good behaviour he could be walking the streets a free man ready and willing to commit another act of atrocity by the age of 67.

In May 2013, the two British born Muslim extremists mowed down Fusilier Lee Rigby with a car at 40 mph.  After hitting him and breaking his back and several other bones, the two then set about stabbing him to death. The final act was an attempt to decapitate him.

All this occurred in broad daylight in Woolwich, London; it was a scene that none who witnessed it or read about it will ever forget.

Both men claimed they were soldiers of Allah and that their actions were spurred on by the plight of their Muslim brothers abroad; neither has ever shown any remorse for their actions.

It is clear from the video above that Lee’s family feel justice has been done in that at least one of them has been sentenced to a whole-life sentence whilst the other was given a significant 45 years.

Whilst the family feel that justice has been done, there were large crowds outside calling for the reinstatement of the death penalty.

There are a number of issues here where it would be easy to declare that our justice system has in fact betrayed Lee Rigby.

Currently the European Court on Human Rights (ECHR) is attempting to change the law so that no person could ever be subjected to a whole-life sentence.  Recently such an attempt was denied by the British Courts but in an ever changing EU climate it is by no means a certainty that the ECHR will not succeed at some point.

Another highly contentious issue is the comfort and care in which both Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale will spend their days.  It’s been said before and it needs saying again… whilst our pensioners starve or freeze to death due to the lack of adequate pensions these two will never spend a day hungry or cold.

Prison life is no longer seen as a form of punishment; as the agenda for punishment was long ago replaced with rehabilitation.

Recently, prison authorities claimed that despite all rehabilitation methods available to them it was declared impossible to rehabilitate an Islamic terrorist; it was in their opinion a futile task due to the level of indoctrination extremists are subjected to.

Efforts to Reform Islamic Terrorists Failing

The final element here has to be what Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale told the court… ‘Allahu Akbar; You people in Britain and in America will never be safe’.

Such is a chilling reminder that it’s most likely, if he is physically able, that Michael Adebowale will carry out acts of terrorism upon his release.

Lee’s murder should drive home the message that we are in fact at war and efforts to reform Islamic terrorists are on the whole a futile and wasteful ideology.

Seeing the numbers of people outside the court waving banners and calling for the death penalty to be reinstated is not surprising and maybe it’s time the public forced the Government to reinstate the death penalty and failure to do so will result in nationwide abstention from work and voting.

Anarchy is never a pleasant notion but from time to time all Governments should be reminded that it is the people who should have the democratic power to make change and that it is not the Governments privilege to dictate to the people.

It is time this Government stopped blaming the security forces for failing to stop people like Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale whilst being complicit in constructing policies and laws that actually prevent them from doing their job… hunting down and taking out terrorists.

Our liberal society has now taken us into an era where it is deemed appropriate to allow the likes of Anjem Choudary to preach his hate and ultimately direct the likes of Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale to commits such acts of barbarity.

Recently we wrote a controversial article which basically suggested that we should, for the sake of peace and community cohesion, surrender to the Muslims will.

Maybe We Should Surrender to Islamic Terrorists for the Sake of Community Cohesion

Whilst I feel it is gracious of the Rigby family to state they are satisfied with the outcome I’m not convinced that sentiment is mirrored by the public.

What should have happened was for both Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale to be sentenced to death and such a sentence should have been carried out within 24 hours.

Such, in my view, would have sent a clear and unequivocal message to terrorists in that no more will we suffer your murderous atrocities and allow you to live a life of luxury.

I for one will abstain yet again in the next General Election for I personally see no social benefit on electing any political party that will simply use my vote in order to dictate to me and in the process summarily dismiss my concerns.

It has been revealed that MI5 spent 8 years monitoring the activities of the Muslim Islamic fanatic that murdered British Soldier, Lee Rigby, by running him over and then hacking him to death with a meat clever and knife during broad daylight in Woolwich.

Let’s hope that Lee Rigby rests in peace and that his family can begin healing; if ever such a notion is possible in light of the barbaric atrocity.
