LEFT WING REJOICE OVER MARGARET THATCHER’S DEATH – As the news broke that Baroness Margaret Thatcher had died the social networks were alive with chatter. Some expressed their grief, others their gratitude and others took to celebrating her death.
As an advocate for free speech and freedom of expression I fully accept that we all have different opinions and that these should be allowed to be spoken and expressed.
What really disturbed me is not the fact that so many people made vile comments but that people felt it was appropriate to take to the streets and celebrate Margaret Thatcher’s death of which quickly turned into outbreaks of violence and destruction of private property.
Considering the media images that are coming out it appears incredulous that most of these people would have any type of grievance with Baroness Thatcher as it is clear that most of them are far too young to remember her days in power.
Most of these youth involved simply cannot comprehend or appreciate how far down the road of left-wing nonsense the Labour Government had taken UK to the brink of bankruptcy and where the Unions had complete rule.
This leads be to suspect this wasn’t any form of collected opinion on a lady that served her country with moral fortitude, diligence and care for the British people; this appears just an excuse to promote civil unrest.
Take a close look at the faces in the photographs throughout this article and you will quickly see that most of them were born after Margaret Thatcher had long stepped down as Prime Minister.
Some are reporting that these young people are ‘political students’ and while this may be the case it’s hard to see how a so-called intelligent human beings can conduct themselves in such a vile way – have the not been taught about open and honest debate in a civilized way?
Each time I see these types of acts, of which I feel has little to do with the subject matter but is rather an excuse to create civil unrest, there is no question in my mind Britain is no longer ‘Great’.
We simply appear to have lost all moral reasoning and above all respect for one another. By all means voice your concerns, go on the streets and express your concerns but to simply fuel this with alcohol in order to create violence and destruction is NOT something a civilized human being does.
While I lived through the years of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership there was many times I thought the old girl had got it wrong and I expressed my views. What I didn’t do it go out on the streets, tanked up with alcohol and act like an animal – although that is rather unfair to animals.
It is obvious, from the behaviour of all those concerned in these incidences that none have any respect for themselves and therefore are unable to have any respect for others. In my view this is the main cause for the degradation that we see in society today where few are capable of civilized open debate but would rather use any excuse, not to make positive change or put their opinions across, to go out and promote hate and violence.
Today I bow my head in shame to be called British as we take another step towards a society that can no long create intelligent dialogue and therefore resort to booze and violence.
If you would like more details on the vile behaviour a detailed report is available on the daily mail.
