Lord Ashcroft Withdraws His Support for Tory Government

LORD ASHCROFT WITHDRAWS HIS SUPPORT FOR TORY GOVERNMENT – Lord Ashcroft is the largest financial donor to the Tory Party.  It was Lord Ashcroft who contributed over £10 million towards the campaign war chest that saw David Cameron being elected as Prime Minister.

Lord Ashcroft is the largest financial donor to the Tory Party. It was Lord Ashcroft who contributed over £10 million towards the campaign war chest that saw David Cameron being elected as Prime Minister.

Over the years Lord Ashcroft has been a staunch supporter of the Tory Party and has never wavered in his belief that a conservative society is far better for the people that a socialist society as advocated by the Labour Party and the Liberal Democrats.

Lord Ashcroft believes that David Cameron has lost all sight to the really important issues facing the United Kingdom, such a Immigration, Crime and underlying issues with the EU, but instead chooses to focus and channel his efforts into issue that only affect a minority group, such as Gay Marriages.

I don’t want to appear homophobic, because that is the last thing I am, but issues such as Gay Marriages really do not need that amount of attention.  A simple open ear to public opinion will testify to that.  The issue of Gay Marriages should have been laid to rest along ago by allowing it – we are after all individuals and if some people wish to marry partners of the same sex then so be it.

David Cameron needs to move on and focus on what affects the majority of the population.  He needs to sort out Immigration, Taxes and the EU.

It is the opinion of Lord Ashcroft, and many others including myself, that David Cameron, even with the promise of an EU Referendum if he is re-elected, is not going to see him being voted back to power in 2015.

David Cameron has clearly shown his stars and has failed to deliver on so many promises, such as personally intervening in the Immigration crises.

The withdrawal of funding by Lord Ashcroft is nothing short of a damning vote of no-confidence and Lord Ashcroft is not alone in the view that David Cameron does not have spine nor will to run the United Kingdom.

By far the majority of people in the UK would like a vote of no confidence for the P.M. Forcing an early general election, not one that I have spoken to, including conservatives who voted for him have any faith or trust in him anymore, he has done nothing to better the lives of UK citizens. It is well past time he went away but, who is there with the gut’s to stand up and make the changes that are desperately needed in the UK! Who ever that person is will one day go down in history as someone who saved the UK and bring it back as we used to know it.
