MARGARET THATCHER AND HOW THE BRITISH PEOPLE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE – There are many nations around the world that don’t like the British due to their ‘high and mighty’ view of themselves.
The British often like to think of themselves as superior with the grand old sense of Imperialism and yet the British have now shown their true colours in the wake of Margaret Thatcher’s death.
British society today is all about ‘me, me, me’. We have become an egotistical collection of mob rules fanaticism that is narcissistic at best. We have shown that there are no depths we will not sink too and what has occurred over the last week clearly shows the world that we are short-sighted, selfish and above all totally and utterly disrespectful towards one another.
In a recent ‘Margaret Thatcher is Dead Party’ at Trafalgar Square two young children chant with others ‘Margaret Thatcher, the witch, is dead.’ Can anyone tell me what is wrong about this picture?
The truth is that we often wonder why Britain is so unruly, why society has become so violent and why our streets are riddle with crime. I can tell you categorically that it’s due to the lack of respect, not just for others but also for ourselves.
Take a close look at the kids below and ask yourself… Is this the way to teach the next generation how to behave and show respect towards one another?
According to the news reports this morning there are some who are planning on pelting Margaret Thatcher’s coffin with coal – could you really stoop any lower as a human being? I am beginning to think that the words ‘British People’ and ‘Human Beings’ can no longer be acquainted with one another.
As usual the Church always has something to say and this time it’s the Bishop of Grantham, Tim Ellis, who has publicly stated that the ceremony for Margaret Thatcher is a ‘mistake’. What exactly is this idiot on? Margaret Thatcher, as a Christian, should have a proper ceremony and cremation. Is the Bishop suggesting this is not the case or is he suggesting that we should given in to mob sentiment and forego all moral sense of fortitude?
The Bishop, like other members of the Church, should keep their mouths firmly closed – their job, their only job is for spiritual guidance and not for steering politics or public sentiment. Quite frankly the Church has enough dark and dirty skeletons in its own cupboard and there is certainly no room to be pointing a moral finger at anyone.
As one politician put it so poignantly to the Bishop… The Queen has approved the funeral arrangements and as head of the Church of England the matter is closed for debate.
When it comes to the creepy crawlies of politics I didn’t think it would be too long before the likes of ‘Two Jags Tony’ Lord Prescott crawled from under his rock to throw in his two pennies worth. Here is a man who is a so-called self-styled Socialist and yet has for years accepted the over paid jobs that Parliament has offered and couldn’t wait to get to Buckingham Palace when offered a life Peerage. So much for the supporter of the ‘working man’.
Well Prescott has come out to say that he feels that Margaret Thatcher’s funeral should be paid for by all the rich that benefited from her Government. I will not call Prescott short-sighted for this is a man who cannot see anything other than his own self worth and while he may bleat on about the working man I can assure you that the size of his bank account, through years of public office, is something a ‘working man’ would never achieve in 10 life times of hard work and saving.
Oh how the hypocrites love to rant and rave about the virtues of socialism and the evils of capitalism. How quickly we forget that it was the Labour Government that sacked far more minors than Margaret Thatcher ever did. What Margaret Thatcher did was simply to lay the coal industry to rest after the Labour Government has spent years raping and strangling it. The coals industry was already dead; Margaret Thatcher simply gave it its last rites. Of course, the likes of Arthur Scargill had no real concern over the Miners, it was always about what they could achieve politically and their wealth was obtained simply through the vilification of Margaret Thatcher.
For all those who hate Margaret Thatcher, for whatever reason, can you not simply show a little self-restraint and allow a funeral to take place without acrimony? Is it not enough that Margaret Thatcher is dead? Can you not think about the feelings of others for one moment – especially for her family who are grieving – rather than your own selfish need to express you joy in the most disrespectful way?
Take a look at the scene below. Her lies Margaret Thatcher departed. She was not a mass murderer, a child abuser, a war criminal or a dictator. She was a Politian and whether you like the fact or not, in this democratic society, she was voted into power no less than three times by a huge majority.
As a supporter of free speech and democracy by all means have your say but is it so necessary to do it in such a vile way or has the British people sunk so low that it is unable to show a little common decency, respect and humility?
I am thoroughly ashamed to be British. There are times when I write the news that I feel a longing to relinquish my citizenship as being part of a nation that can show such disrespect and hatred at a time where others are mourning is simply beyond anything I would relate as being human.
