MEERA SYAL SLAMS TV BOSSES FOR NOT HAVING MORE ASIANS ON TV – If you are not sure who Meera Syal is then let me enlighten you. Meera Syal was the front for the comedy show ‘Goodness Gracious Me’; a show primarily aimed at making fun of Asians and their culture.
The comedy show, in my opinion, was weak and not very funny; it basically took on a racist hit at Asians but that’s fine because it was Asians performing. Yes I know it’s madness but there again our political correctness indoctrination is madness, so what do you expect.
According to Meera Syal she feels British TV, or rather more its bosses, are simply not putting enough Asians on TV.
Is Meera right or is she simply attempting to smear British TV bosses as being racists for not doing more for Asian entertainment?
That of course is debatable however her actions are not. Meera Syal is a pure racist; according to political correctness indoctrination she shouldn’t be allowed to suggest such a thing; after all aren’t we all supposed to be equal – that is where ‘race’ plays no part in our society, therefore putting everyone on an equal footing? Isn’t that the utopia goal of creating a multicultural cohesive society?
The answer to that is yes; well at least that’s the way it’s supposed to work but of course the truth is that people like Meera Syal will always use their ethnic background to their own advantage.
What Meera Syal needs telling, and telling firmly, is that Asians should only be on TV if they are able to entertain. Look at her own show and it is clear that her show ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ was not only racist it was only ever aired in order to appease the ever growing Asian population; however it produced a show that really didn’t do its persona any favours; in fact I feel the show did a massive amount of damage to how Asians are perceived.
Who cares? The fact is I do and so do many other people. TV should be about talent and providing airtime for those who can bring something entertaining or educational; something clearly ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ never did.
Meera Syal on the other hand feels that British TV has taken a step backwards. Her statement doesn’t surprise me in the least for she is perfectly correct but what she failed to mention is that it is not surprising considering the tone of her show; quite frankly if this is all Asians have to offer in regards to entertainment they need to keep it to themselves.
Once again we have a person from an ethic minority (or so they tell us) stand up and deliver their rhetoric and no doubt if Meera Syal reads this she’ll call me a racist; but she might consider that I wasn’t the one who purposefully made racist taunts at the expense of her own community members.
Goodness gracious me… yes the title of the show was more than apt.
