MILIBAND PROMISES A DIFFERENT LABOUR PARTY IF ELECTED IN THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION – Do you remember Neil Kinnock the failed Labour Leader whose communistic views that all men should be equal? It’s the same Neil Kinnock that was awarded a cushy job at £100,000 a year with all the perks at the expense of the taxpayer – so much for his rhetoric of being a common man.
Well you’ll be delighted to know that Ed Miliband is now a firm Red Ed after he announced that New Labour will take the Left-Wing Kinnock approach and that through a Coalition with the Liberal Democrats the UK will be lifted to new heights of prosperity.
So let me just get this right… Kinnock, a failed politician with a failed manifesto which would have brought the UK to its knees it being taken as the gospel by Red Ed. I supposed the only benefit to this announcement pretty much seals the deal that Miliband won’t be sitting in the PM’s chair after the next election; unless of course the British public finally lose the plot altogether.
Last night Miliband made it perfectly clear that he will promote Labour’s most Left-Wing economic manifesto since Kinnock ruled the Labour Party.
Miliband also went on to say that the future of the Labour Government would be very different compared to when Blair and Brown ran the show and furthermore wants to build a Coalition with the Liberal Democrats in order to secure an election victory in 2015.
So what is Miliband planning? For a start he wants to ‘water down’ the importance of the financial services in the economy and intends to impose more regulations and a higher tax band in order to build a ‘different’ banking system.
Certainly with all the issues that the banking sector has and the fact that the UK taxpayer has been responsible for bailing out, change is required. However taxing the system will result in one thing only and that is a banking exodus leaving the economy without new investment and therefore growth.
Left-Wing, as with Right-Wing is a dangerous track to take, it leads to only one place and that is a communist state with a totalitarianism dictatorship. While Miliband said the he would not return the Labour Party to its socialist roots it appears that statement is completely misguided as that’s exactly what a Left-Wing approach would make and one that is completely run by a dictator.
Miliband’s aides have reported that if Miliband intends to court the voters with a ‘Spend More’ policy in order to turn the fortunes of the UK around. While Miliband continues to bleat on about the lessons learned from Brown and Blair he obviously hasn’t done his homework – a spend, spend, spend policy is no way to dig a country out of recession; that fact has been proven on many occasion throughout history, not just in the UK but other state economies. Simply look at the state of Greece, Italy and Spain and see how their spend, spend, spend policies affected their economies – there’s a word for this type of policy, it’s called Bankruptcy.
It always worries me when a potential candidate for the position of Prime Minister bangs the Left-Wing drum and talks about spending beyond its means; which can only result in higher levels of taxation in order to support such a policy. The last time we witnessed anything this devastating to the UK economy was under James Callaghan and it took a remarkable woman, Margaret Thatcher to undo years of successive Labour Government errors to put the economy on track.
While the economy may not be in great shape right now there is no doubt that using a policy that didn’t work under previous Labour Governments is not about to work today.
