NHS PROVIDES BREAST ENLARGEMENTS BUT NOT SURGERY TO A 2 YEAR OLD SO HE CAN WALK – Take a good look at the two photographs below and spot the difference.
Left: Oliver Dockerty | Right: Josie Cunningham
Got it yet? Need some help? The little boy to the left is Oliver Dockerty,he’s 2 years old and has cerebral palsy. With the help of an operation costing the taxpayer £24,000 he would be able to walk unaided.
The lady to the right is Josie Cunningham who wanted 36DD breast implants to help aid her career as an aspiring model.
The difference is that whilst Oliver is refused by the NHS Josie was not.
The NHS has taken a lot of flak recently and it’s no surprise considering that the once much loved institution is now run by a bunch of incompetent pen-pushers who appear more concerned about covering up their mistakes and creaming the system than they are in dealing with patient care.
If you are looking for human compassion then forget the notion of looking towards the NHS for it is now a hollow shell, void of any human kindness and where executives spend their time working out how they can line their own pockets.
It would be easy for me to admonish Josie Cunningham and say that her breast enlargement surgery was not only a waste of taxpayers’ money but surely an unnecessary waste of time in a procedure that could have benefited someone else in much greater need; such as Oliver.
Of course it’s not fair to point the finger at Josie; she after all felt a real need to have breast enlargements that would make her life more fulfilling and necessary for mental health reasons – self esteem, when it is low, can cause all manner of unpleasant side effects.
I am perplexed as to why the NHS turned down little Oliver and quite frankly this goes beyond being merely offended by their actions and ultimate decision.
If this is what the NHS has truly come to in the UK then surely there should be no place in society for a service that is not only lacks compassion but is managed to such an appalling and unprofessional level it should be disbanded.
In order for little Oliver to have the operation his mother has turned to the online website ‘justgiving.com’ and is asking people to donate funds that will pay for his surgery privately.
This is always the nicest part of my job as it lifts my spirit and restores my faith in human nature and none more so when you click on the website above and see that people, not just from the UK, but from around the entire globe have donated to Oliver’s caused.
So far, at the last count, generous donators have raised 86% of the required fee and I strongly suspect it won’t be more than just a few days before the full amount has been raised and then Oliver will finally have the operation he needs so much.
Before you go… Many of our regular readers are aware that meebal.com is an independent news provider and is kept afloat by generous donations. We really appreciate all the help we get but if you are thinking about making a donation to us we would love it if you would visit Oliver’s Fund Raiser and give the money to him instead. This little fella deserves all our help. Donate here
Thank you… Ed
