NICK CLEGG KNEW OF SEXUALLY ABUSED STAFF BY LORD RENNARD – Over the last week news reports have been unfolding over allegations that the Deputy Prime Ministers female staff were being systematically abused by his friend and colleague Lord Rennard.
I have deliberately held off on writing about this story until a few more facts came to light and like a runaway train wreck the facts that were to emerge where not unexpected consider we are talking about politicians and it’s almost a job requirement that politicians lie and have little moral fortitude.
As you may be aware it started off with a complaint from Alison Smith that Lord Rennard has acted inappropriately with her. In plain terms he was copping a feel; which she objected to and made a formal complaint to Nick Clegg’s office.
Since the initial complaint a further nine women have come forward with similar complaints and initially Nick Clegg denied all knowledge of Lord Rennard’s behaviour. Unfortunately while a politician is a pretty good liar, by nature of the job, they are not overly well equipped with brain matter and it wasn’t long before emails were discovered that Nick Clegg was fully aware what his old school chum, Lord Rennard, was up to.
Nick Clegg, in true politician style, has tried to down play this situation and even the Liberal Democrat peer Tony Greaves made an attempt to defend Lord Rennard’s actions; stating that these were just playful and mild sexual advances.
It was only the other day that Meebal.com reported on the high level of internet pornography being accessed in Parliament including what appeared to be a real favourite, an Adultery website.
Is it any wonder why the public view our politicians as liars, thieves, and sleazy when this type of activity is going on in the halls of Parliament. The UK has real problems that is affecting the lives of so many and yet our politicians seem more preoccupied with groping junior staff, browsing porn sites and making sure their own interests are taken care of in order to line their own pockets.
The question is, now that Nick Clegg has been found out to be a liar, will he have the moral fortitude to step down? Unlikely is my view given the state of the politicians running the UK into the ground.
