NORTH KOREA THREATENS TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF SOUTH KOREA – Yet again North Korea is rattling the saber of war by threatening the total destruction of South Korea in a UN conference on disarmament.
When it comes to alienation the North Korean leaders really know how to slam the door firmly shut on diplomacy and with the recent nuclear testing that North Korean undertook just weeks ago, this confrontation is extremely disturbing to South Korea and the Western world.
“As the saying goes, a new-born puppy knows no fear of a tiger. South Korea’s erratic behaviour would only herald its final destruction.” North Korean diplomat Jon Yong Ryong told the UN meeting.
This comment was quick to draw criticism from other member nations and only goes towards heightening tensions between UN nation members and the ostracized North Korean state.
The talks were designed to try and bring a modicum of sense and calm from the North Koreans, however it appeared to only enrage North Korea’s leaders even more and they have stated that the aim of the recent nuclear tests was to bolster its defences due to the hostility of the U.S, which in now calling for even more sanctions to be imposed on the segregated nation.
North Korea has now openly stated that if the U.S continues its hostilities towards North Korea it could get pushed into a corner where the only solution would be to come out fighting.
North Korea has already explained, to its only one ally, China, that it is intending to undertake more nuclear tests in order to ready itself to force the U.S into diplomatic talks to remove the sanctions the UN has imposed upon its country.
There is no doubt that the world leaders are worried over the continuing developments of North Korea’s nuclear testing. Of late even China has admonished North Korea stating that its nuclear development is no way to change the sanctions imposed upon it.
Does North Korea really want peace or is its saber rattling a preemptive warning of what is about to come. While most people believe that an all out war would be futile for North Korea it is also believed that when you have nothing left to lose and you don’t care about the well being of your people than anything is possible.
