PRISONERS AT FORD OPEN PRISON POLITELY ASKED NOT TO TAKE DRUGS – According to an article in the Daily Mail and The Sun prisoners at the Category D Ford Prison have been sent a letter from the Prison Authorities that politely asks them not to take Class A drugs pointing to the obvious health and social risks.
Note that the article is available from the Daily Mail for free, however The Sun requires you to pay a £1.00 subscription fee.
After reading this news article we carefully trolled the comment sections, just to get a feel of the public reaction.
To be honest it was a pointless exercise because the headline of the article alone was a prerequisite to the outrage and astonishment that the public felt.
Outrage we can fully understand but the public’s astonishment is testament that the British people have, as meebal.com has long suspected, finally lost the plot; well a goodly amount of them anyway.
One local MP, Nick Gibb, rightly pointed out that prisons, regardless of the ‘category’ status should have a ‘zero tolerance’ policy on drugs and indeed any other activity or behaviour that is not permitted.
Again it is understandable why people are outraged that the Prison authorities would take such a ‘softly, softly’ approach towards inmates.
What fails us is the level of astonishment for this only leads us to suspect the British public is completely clueless and indeed ignorant to the situation.
The very reason we have ‘category’ status prisons in the UK is through the political indoctrination that criminals are in fact not really criminals but simply unfortunate, misguided or indeed deprived members of society.
The ‘category’ system was set up in order to provide a ‘class’ distinction of prisoners; that is those who pose a high risk to public safety are locked up in ‘closed’ prisons whilst those white collar criminals are invariably locked up in ‘open’ prisons – effectively they are not really lock up at all and therefore their crimes are never really punished.
Call me draconian but shouldn’t criminals be punished? Basically with the current system the lunatics are running the asylum and how the British public finds this astonishing is beyond my comprehension – it’s not like this is some Moses event, it’s been going on for years.
The trouble is the British public doesn’t want to appear inhumane and lord forbid politically incorrect and therefore, through years of carefully devised and implemented Government indoctrination the authorities have been able to change the system; primarily for their own benefit.
Frankly the categorisation of prisons is irrelevant in today’s politically correct society for regardless of the ‘open’ or ‘closed’ status most are nothing short of 4 or 5 Star hotels and as such it should be little wonder why criminals re-offend.
Our justice system is no longer concerned about ‘punishment’ but rather ‘rehabilitation’ and yet despite decades of this politically correct scheme crime continues to rise.
Life behind bars is no longer any form or punishment with access to free cable TV, three square meals a day, all the recreational facilities you could shake a stick at and of course top notch education – if they want it.
To be honest most taxpaying citizens would be much better off behind bars; as a matter of fact I even suggested in an earlier article that maybe our pensioners should all be put behind bars for at least they wouldn’t have to worry about the heating bills, they would also be given three hot meals a day and be thoroughly entertained whilst being protected with high-end security 24 hours a day.
By all means leave your comments below and vent your outrage at a system that is clearly failing to protect the public and is costing the taxpayer billion’s each year.
However, don’t be so ignorant as to faint astonishment for this debacle, along with all the other political correctness indoctrination hog-wash is just that… pure pigs swill and the sty is frankly over flowing with the contents produced by continuously feeding the pigs.
If you want to see justice and criminals being brought to book for their crimes then you have to adopt a different mindset. Yes it does mean looking back to a degree in order to bring back real punishment – is there really anything that terrible about a public flogging or even the death penalty?
Yes I know you’ll probably say that the death penalty is not deterrent and I will concede that there is clear evidence to support his. However, not one criminal who has ever been executed has ever re-offended and that is the point – it simply doesn’t allow them to commit yet another heinous crime, often resulting in the loss of innocent life.
As for public flogging I suspect your argument will be that such a punishment is inhumane but again this is due to political indoctrination.
Yes again I will concede that flogging a person is not really a desirable punishment however I wonder how many criminals would consider re-offending knowing full well the consequences – in fact I wonder if such a punishment would in fact be a deterrent to original crime.
Singapore to this day canes criminals and the re-offending rate is extremely low – maybe there’s a lesson to be learned here.
We could of course consider changing the Prison system – that is remove ‘categorisation’ and lump them all together. In the process remove every TV, recreational facility and make them survive on one meal a day – there are many pensioners in the UK that would be happy with one meal a day.
Education should of course remain and it should be compulsory. Prison should not be viewed by criminals, or the public, as simply 5 Star hotels but rather a place that is deep, dark and punishing.
Finally I’ll concede that none of this is about to change because outraged and even astonished as you may be you’ll end up voting in the next set of invertebrates that will dictate to you how you should think and how society should work – of course you’ll pay for all of this through your taxes and in the meantime continue to be outrages and questionably astonished.
