ROLF HARRIS CHARGED WITH NINE COUNTS OF INDECENT ASSAULT – Rolf Harris during his long and illustrious career has entertained millions of people around the world with his didgeridoo and his paintings.
So famous was Rolf Harris for his marvelous works of art that he was once bestowed the honour of painting Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her 80th birthday.
Last year our image of Rolf Harris was shattered as police, under the Yewtree Operation that was set up over the Jimmy Savile scandal, was taken in for questioning over allegations of child sex abuse.
Yesterday Rolf Harris was formally charged with no less than nine counts of indecent assault, during the 1980’s and a further four counts of producing indecent images of a child in 2012.
During the past nine months Rolf Harris has maintain a complete silence over the allegations; which lead many to speculate that he did have something to hide.
Now at 83 years of age detectives have formally charge Rolf Harris with child sex offense including downloading four indecent images of children early last year.
Rolf Harris, his agent nor solicitor has yet to issue a public statement over the charges and allegations since first being questioned by police in November of last year.
Over his career Rolf Harris was known as a prolific painter, singer-songwriter, composer, painter, musician and of course a highly popular television entertainer and has resided in the UK for over 50 years in Bray, Berkshire.
If found guilty the TV personality could be imprisoned for up to 10 years on each count which would ultimately confine him to a prison cell for the remainder of his days.

The Crown Prosecution Service has now set a trial date for the 12th August 2013.
There is little doubt that the charges laid against Rolf Harris will shock and appall many of his friends, colleagues and above all loyal fans.
