ROYAL FUSILIERS OFFICER GIVES PHILIP HAMMOND A DRESSING DOWN – An ex-army Royal Fusiliers officer stood up during Philip Hammond’s speech at the Tory Party conference and didn’t mince his words… “You are a Disgrace!” was only the start of a dressing down Mr. Hammond didn’t expect.
As usual with our politicians Mr. Hammond didn’t seem in the slightest bit interest in what Colonel Ian Brazier or Captain Joe Eastwood had to say; but rather asked them to shut up and sit down so that he could finish his speech.
Yes Mr. Hammond felt it rather more important to continue with his empty rhetoric on how he is helping our armed services rather than listening to the truth – nothing unusual there.
The retired Colonel wasn’t about to let Mr. Hammond off the hook that easily; after all here is a man who has over his long and distinguished career placed his life on the line for our liberty; where as Mr. Hammond is another political invertebrate that probably couldn’t muster sufficient spine to take out his own rubbish.
Colonel Brazier is of course correct, Philip Hammond is a disgrace but he’s just one of the policy makers that has no concern for Britain, let alone the men and women who sacrifice their lives; all to allow his ilk to stand and lie and in front of the public.
During the exchange of words Mr. Hammond told Colonel Brazier that the defence cuts were not of his making but where ordered by army chiefs – did Mr. Hammond just admit that his position is therefore obsolete, surplus to requirement and therefore nothing more than another waste of the taxpayer’s money.
As we have now seen the Tory Party are engaging in all manner of schemes, pledges and promises in the lead up to the next General Election for they are fully aware that the public are tired of their lies and rhetoric. Here’s just some of the scheme, pledges and promises being made to woo back the voting public:
You need to watch the video above carefully for what you will witness is not only the true level of contempt that Mr. Hammond has for the British public and those who serve in the armed forces but also the true face of British democracy as Colonel Brazier is prevented from speaking and ushered out of the conference hall.
Yes, Mr. Hammond’s actions are mirrored throughout our politicians and whilst they will continuously harp on about democracy there are few, if any, that believes members of the public have the right to voice their opinions and concerns on the public forum.
Image Above: Colonel Brasier being escorted out of the Tory Party Conference Hall by security – where are his democratic rights to be heard?
Mr. Hammond needs to be told that he, along with the other politicians, are nothing more than public paid servants and that it is their job not to spout reams of rhetoric and empty promises but to listen to the views of the electorate.
Maybe it’s time that Mr. Hammond spent 6 months in Afghanistan – I certainly would support such an action and it should be a prerequisite in order to obtain the station to which he now holds.
Here’s what Colonel Brazier had to say:
“Tell the truth about the disbandment of the Fusiliers.
I write you letters, you don’t respond. The public must know the truth – the Fusiliers are loyal soldiers, you have betrayed them.
‘Sir, you need to be looking at defence. This is denial, not defence. You’re a disgrace.’
