SAMSUNG UNVEILS WORLD’S LARGEST TV – Big, they say is beautiful, but the best things in life come in small packages; well that’s a bit of a contradiction but if you are one of those who prefer things super-sized then the new Samsung TV is going to be right up your street.

Samsung has described its new offering, the UHDTV110, as the ultra-high definition TV that’s like looking out of a window and consumer experts are already saying the picture quality is mind blowing.

The UHDTV110 was unveiled at the Berlin trade fair yesterday with Samsung announcing that its new offering gives four times the number of pixels that a current HD television set; making the whole viewing experience more realistic.
If you really can’t wait until Spring 2014 and you do have the funds then the 98 inch S9 version has just become available in the UK; but again it is a whopping £40,000.
The World Cup, to be held in Brazil next year, will be the first major sporting event to be broadcasts in the Ultra HD format; but this will only be available to Japanese viewers.
For UK views you will have to wait until 2015 before a major sporting event will be broadcast in the format and it is expected to be the Rugby World Cup in England.
Samsungs senior director of European sales and marketing, Michael Zoeller, told reporters that the screen is so big that watching sports is almost life-sized.
