SIR RICHARD BRANSON A MAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO PROMOTE A BUSINESS – Sir Richard Branson is a British icon; I would challenge anyone to deny it.
Sir Richard is a man of passion, vision and above all a love for his country that has never wavered.
Sir Richard and this creation and ongoing promotion of the Virgin Group is derived from a passion that you are unlikely to witness with any other corporate CEO; for here is a man who believes that marketing should be personal.
The Virgin brand is recognized throughout the world and remarkably so is Sir Richard Branson; he is if you like a brand unto himself.
Examine closely other CEO’s around the globe, for instance could you tell me anything notable about the current chairman of British Airways, BP, Shell, Barclays, RBS, or any other?
I would say it’s most unlikely for the CEO’s of these companies rarely venture into the media spotlight and I would further venture to say it would be almost impossible for any of them to dress up like a woman to promote a new service; lady CEO’s apart.
You see there lays the difference between someone who merely runs a company for a pay packet to someone like Sir Richard who feels that everything he does should carry his name; it’s the seal of approval, the stamp of guarantee, the mark of excellence; Sir Richard always stands by his product and he’s certainly not shy about it.
The other distinguishing difference between Sir Richard Branson and other CEO’s is that Sir Richard is a pure entrepreneur; he’s a creator of things where most others simply employ an army of people to come up with a new product that is then pushed out with the usual boring media hype from other nameless faces within the company.
If you’ve ever thought about starting a business then carefully look through the images on this page and you will quickly discover that if you want to make an impact and drive the message home then the only person in the world that will be able to deliver that message with the passion it deserves is you.
If you’re one those who has always wanted to take the leap in to running your own business it is interesting to note Sir Richard’s famous saying; “Screw it, let’s do it.”; for there is nothing quite like getting on with the task at hand.
I’ve spoken to many potential entrepreneurs over the years and the biggest issue most have is the thought of failure and therefore never try. In my book true failure is thinking about something but never acting and whilst a venture may fail you are guaranteed to have learned a lot and maybe next time succeed.
Remember life is an adventure so if you have an idea brewing give it a go; be passionate about what you do and don’t let doomsayers knock you down.
