TERRORIST SUSPECT MOHAMMED AHMED MOHAMED ELUDES POLICE – A terrorist suspect, Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed, has eluded police surveillance after authorities believed he entered a Mosque and then dressed in the traditional burka which effectively masked his true identity.
Earlier meebal.com published an article on the growing debate as to whether people in Britain should be banned from wearing any form of religious or cultural dress that effectively allows them to hide their identity.
Again this particular issue highlights the need for change and indeed a ban on wearing such garb for if a suspected terrorist is able to so easily elude police surveillance then just how safe are we?
Police have issued a public statement that Somalia born Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed isn’t believed to be a direct threat to the public and subsequently released a number of CCTV images of a person leaving the West London mosque on Friday; in which they now believe was in fact Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed and not a Muslim women in traditional dress as initially thought.
There is of course something very wrong with this whole picture. The police state that Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed is not believed to be a direct threat to the public and on that assumption the question needs raising… ‘Why was Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed under police surveillance?’
The issue here becomes a little more disturbing for according to the police Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed is one of a number of terror suspects whose movements are restricted and monitored by a court order because he does in fact pose a threat to the public.
The court order issued under the Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (TPIM) is only permitted if such a person is deemed to be a direct threat to public safety.
According to other sources Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed is one of nine people to have been handed such a court order and last year another one of those with the order absconded under police surveillance.
In this particular case Ibrahim Magag failed to return home in compliance with his curfew and despite on-going investigations he has yet to be located and detained.
We’ve all heard how the Government has vilified Edward Snowden for leaking sensitive NSA documents and in the process put at risk security officials and the general public; but his actions pale into insignificance compared to the incompetency of the Government.
Originally the TPIM was designed to heavily control suspected terrorists movements, their activities and who they were allowed to associate themselves with.
Unfortunately, Nick Clegg and his delusional liberal views resulted in the TPIM being significantly watered down as such restrictions breached a suspects civil liberties.
Yes according to the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, restricting someone from planning or carrying out an act of terrorism on British soil is a breach of their civil liberties.
Hello! Nick Clegg of course has fears of being the target of a terrorist plot due to his position but obviously doesn’t worry too much for he is adequately protected around the clock; something that the average British citizen is certainly not privy too.
OK, go ahead, blame the police, blame the intelligence services – after all it was them that allowed Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed to slip through their fingers.
If this is how you truly perceive the situation then you’re as delusional as Nick Clegg. The truth of the matter is that Nick Clegg and all other MPs and Ministers with such liberal views are directly responsible for they are the ones that refuse to support a ban on wearing the burkha and other traditional Muslim dress which Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed used to escape; all in the name of protecting a suspected terrorist’s civil liberties.
I wonder if anyone has considered arresting Nick Clegg and try him for treason; after all it is he, and his ilk, that are putting the public at risk and insisting our security services competently complete a job whilst being bound, gagged thus prevented from doing so.
The next time there is a terrorist attack in Britain, and there almost certainly will be, don’t allow Nick Clegg to point the finger of blame. It really is time we started holding those directly responsible to account for their acts or omissions are put our lives in dire peril.
