THE FEAR OF GLOBAL WARMING – Do you ever get sick and tired of scientific rhetoric that we are all about to face impending doom if we do not reduce the carbon emission (CO2) we throw into out atmosphere each and every day?
What worries me, and I’m certainly not alone, is that scientific data doesn’t appear all that accurate and in fact there are gaping holes in the data released. The other concern is that governments are using this data as a way of ‘scaremongering’ the people into paying more taxes; which government tells us is being used to find alternative energy solutions, however there has been little evidence that any of the solutions found so far is in fact helping to tackle the solution.
It was just last week that I wrote an article on how the UK Government have been using inaccurate data in order to justify its ‘green tax’ system that by 2020 will add even a greater burned on energy bills to householders. The current cost of the UK Government’s ‘Green Tax’ is £112.00 per year; however by 2020 this figure is expected to rise by a staggering 150% to £286.00 per year.
This so-called ‘Green Tax’ is nothing more than a way for the UK Government to raise erroneous taxes with little or no data that justifies such a tax.
This move, by the UK Government is not exclusive; indeed all Western Governments, including the United States imposes such a tax; all of which is generated through the fear that the world is going to end if we don’t act now.
Most householders, across the Western Hemisphere have adopted measures to reduce their power consumption. These methods include installing better insulation, using energy efficient appliances, fitting other energy efficient devices such as CLF Light Bulbs; some have even gone as far as installing solar panels and small wind turbines that allow them to become self sufficient in terms of their energy needs.
The measures householders are taking is certainly a good way to reduce CO2 levels, however most householders have been convinced to implement such measures, not because of the damage being done to our environment but mainly due to the ability to save money, which has been brought about by increasing energy costs and taxation.
The video above certainly provides some thought provoking questions as to how scientists and governments are using global warming ‘doomsday’ rhetoric in order extract more money through various types of new and existing taxation methods.
As the video clearly points out, everything we do involves the use of energy, from driving a car to talking on the telephone. According to the video, of which I won’t dispute, 1 billion people are living on this planet that do not have access to electricity or running water and they all live in complete poverty where mortality rates are extremely high.
This indicates that without energy we can survive but survival is short lived – is this really what we want for our generations to come?
The obvious answer is no, but to sustain longevity requires the use of energy and as the 1 billion living without it have shown us, this longevity is not possible without energy.
There is no doubt in my mind that we do need to continue to find ways to reduce overall energy consumption or should I say find new ways to produce energy that is green. The world’s population now consists of over 7 billion people. Within the next 50 years the population could well double. In order for these people to survive will require an energy source that is clean and green.
What worries me is that money, for the purpose of finding alternative energy sources, is being raised through taxation. It is obvious to anyone that Governments are notoriously wasteful with the taxes it raises, nearly all governments are run by incompetent and often less than honest individuals and therefore nearly all of the money raised through taxation, for whatever its intended purpose, is often wasted due to the lack of accountability.
There are still unanswered questions, such as ‘Are we facing impending doom due to the level of CO2 thrown into our atmosphere?’ ‘Are scientists really giving us the entire truth about climate change or are they simply Government employees who are churning out data to create sufficient fear in order to get us to accept the ‘green taxation’ levied upon us?’
