THE SOPRANOS ACTOR JAMES GANDOLFINI DIES OF SUSPECTED HEART ATTACK – James Gandolfini has died of a suspected heart attack at the age of just 51.
Best known for his role in The Sopranos, James Gandolfini was an extremely talented actor with a way of dominating the silver screen.
James and his family were on holiday in Italy and was due to attend the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily when tragedy struck.
James leaves behind his wife Deborah Lin and two children; including his 9 month old daughter Liliana Ruth.
The sudden death of James has promoted vast outpourings of grief from friends and fellow actors across Facebook and Twitter.
While James often played the roles of the enforcer with a reputation of taking no prisoners he was in real life a gentle giant with a heart of gold; according to friends, family and his manager.
James Gandolfini was a master of his craft and one of the truly remarkable character actors and no matter what he portrayed it was always totally believable.
I for one think the world has lost one of the greatest actors alive and that entertainment has lost a truly gifted individual.
