TIME TO START PUNISHING AND STOP PAMPERING CRIMINALS – There’s not much we are really permitted to say about the continuing rising crime from Eastern Europeans and indeed other nationalities that are flooding Britain.
No standing up and declaring that better border controls should be imposed or that systematic deportation should be introduced is a racist and bigoted notion.
I wonder what it will take before those who are deeply indoctrinated with the political correctness regime that we need to create a Utopian society will finally wake up and come to their senses.
There’s been a lot in the press recently about Roma Gypsies and Romanian criminal gangs; in fact there are times when I feel that there appears to be nothing else in the press – if it’s not Britain suffering from growing crime and social unrest then it’s France, Germany or any one of the other EU member states.
I would hazard a guess that the public, in all EU member states, are thoroughly sick and tired of hearing how their social welfare systems are being plundered or how Eastern European gangs are involved in all manner of crime, including the heinous crime of child trafficking.
Here are just a few of the articles that meebal.com has published in the last few days alone and this is insignificant compared to what other members of the press, such as the Daily Mail, have published.
Yes, as you can see from the top article, it was declared that Britain now has to draft in Eastern European police officers in order to help Scotland Yard tackle the every growing crime rate from Eastern European citizens that are flooding Britain.
It surely is a sad day when we become so politically indoctrinated that we are no longer able to see the wood for the trees and take the bull by the horns and deal with the social issues on a practical level.
Yet again more news on the rising crime in Britain and this time it’s the revelation of a damning report that shows that one in every ten foreign criminals are put back on the streets of Britain as the Government fails to deport them.
That would be the Human Rights Act or maybe just further interference from the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes both have basically shackled and silenced the innocent whilst allowing criminals to run rampant at the taxpayer’s expense.
We have developed a culture of being politically correct and in doing so silencing the masses – nobody really wants to talk about it for fear of being labeled a racist or a bigot.
From the Government’s perspective this is just perfect; after all they get paid for doing nothing for even considering practical measures would be seen as an act of racism; even a persecution of a race to the point where it’s almost seen as ethnic cleansing.
Instead of simply enforcing the laws we’ve adopted the ideology of ‘rehabilitation’ rather than the inhumane act of ‘punishing’ a criminal.
This is evident when you look at the state of prisons in modern society. Gone are the regimented regimes of almost military style control and replaced with recreational facilities, cable TV, mini-fridges in cells, education and three square meals a day.
The latest report, despite listing the failings of deporting criminals, also clearly lists the failings of the ideology of ‘rehabilitation’.
The truth is that most criminals don’t want rehabilitation – why would they? After all being sent to a 5 Star hotel for a few weeks of Rest and Recuperation, before their next crime spree, is often seen as a welcome break.
Remove ‘punishment’ from the equation of justice and you simply no longer have justice; that is there is simply no incentive for a criminal to reform.
On the other hand re-instating public flogging; which is certainly punishment, then you might, as Singapore does, introduce a system of punishment whereby the notion of re-offending will certainly be given careful consideration by a criminal.
I know it’s all a little too draconian and even barbaric – as is the notion to reinstate the death penalty.
So what’s the answer? The trouble is no one appears willing or indeed able to come up with a system that punishes a criminal without actually punishing them.
That will probably sound preposterous to any sane individual but that I’m afraid is the dilemma of the politically correct indoctrinated.
If you took a £10 note and set fire to it in the hope that the ashes would miraculously turn into a £20 note only to find that it didn’t would you keep trying?
Of course not because it’s a ridiculous pursuit and clearly a waste of money; so why on earth do we allow the continuation of ‘rehabilitation’ when after years of trying, at great cost to the taxpayer, do we insist upon keep attempting something that has never work and clearly never will?
Recently a retiring Magistrate slammed the British justice system for ever conceiving the political ideology that criminals could be ‘rehabilitated’ without ‘punishment’.
Currently the Government has devised no end of ‘behaviour programmes’ that criminals must undergo before being allowed back into society; however despite these so-called methods of ‘rehabilitation’ many are released without even undergoing such programmes – the reason being that they are simply a waste of taxpayer’s money.
Why not, just for a period of six months, bring back public flogging? OK, it doesn’t have to be public. But why not announce that say from July 1st 2014 public flogging will be reintroduced and see if this provides any level of deterrent.
For those criminals who are flogged they can then be immediately released and a study undertaken to see just how many reoffend.
It takes less than 20 minutes and one person to apply six lashes which is significantly cheaper than providing a criminal with a six month stay at any one of Her Majesty’s 5 Star Hotels.
The stark reality is that we have tried to be kind, we have tried to be understanding, we have provided help in the form of welfare and yet despite all our efforts criminals are spitting in our face and it’s time to lay down the gauntlet and declare no more and provide criminals with fair warning that a new system is coming – one that involves punishment, not pampering.
