UKIP COUNCILLOR TO STEP DOWN OVER ISLAMIC RANT – Eric Kitson, the UKIP Councillor for Stourport, Worcestershire, is about to step down less than two weeks into winning the seat in the last local elections.
Eric Kitson, 59, admitted to posting a number of ‘racist’ rants directed at Jews and Muslims on his Facebook account and has now admitted that his actions where thoughtless but insists he is NOT a racist.
In one of his online messages it shows a cartoon with a nuclear bomb exploding with the message; ‘Some cancers need to be treated with radiation and Islam is one of them.’
In another image a Muslim was being roasted over a pile of burning Korans and in reference to Muslim women he suggested; “Hang them first and then ask questions later.”
Eric admits that his actions and comments were misguided and has acknowledged that his position is no longer tenable.
While I personally disagree with what Eric did it is not as if this sort of view is held by many. The issue here is that it appears that Muslims are free to undertake acts of terrorism against us, in the name of Jihad, but posting a comment that may hurt their feelings is completely unacceptable.
What Eric did was simply to exercise his right to freedom of expression but unfortunately the Liberal Left-Wing attitude of ‘Shut Up’ appears to have once again won the day.
Again I didn’t agree with this type of attack but I certainly do defend the right of free speech and expression. The trouble is that Government doesn’t want us to openly voice our opinions. They certainly don’t want us openly discussing the fact that the Muslims, as they have made perfectly clear, want to make Islam the world dominating religion and law.
Do I find Eric Kitson’s remarks offensive? Yes, but not for the reasons you might suspect. The truth is that Eric failed to understand that his very position leaves him open to public ridicule and censorship; and rightly so.
What I do find offensive is that Eric, like so many people, simply didn’t have the spine to follow up on his convictions and therefore should step down. The real issue here is that we have become indoctrinated to avoid making any form of remarks about Muslims; quite frankly it doesn’t matter what you say Muslim’s will jump on the nearest band wagon and declare it racist.
What do I find offensive? That is a complex question but for the mainstream it has to be the lack of will that the British have in acknowledging we have a serious problem. While Eric simply poked fun at the Muslims the Muslims take this to the extreme and murder innocent people – just to get the point across.
Racism certainly is the issue but it is all too often used to keep us quiet and justify the murder of innocent people through acts of terrorism initiated by Religious Jihad.
If that means I’m a racist then so be it because nothing will convince me that murdering innocent people is an acceptable thing and maybe Eric is right – Muslims are like a cancer and it needs serious treatment but not by acts of violence but through a simple act of law that will allow us to remove those who continuously promote Jihad terrorist activities against those who do not believe in the Islamic religion and therefore use racism as a tool to justify murder.
It really is time we stopped mincing our words and spoke about the realities we face. Multiculturalism is not working, that’s perfectly clear, but unless we can openly express our views and solve the problem without people pointing the finger and shouting ‘racist’ then society in the UK can only be degraded further.
