UKIP MEP SPEAKS OUT AND IS IMMEDIATELY CALLED A RACIST – UKIP MEP, Godfrey Bloom, made a number of comments that has led opposition party leaders to call upon Nigel Farage, UKIP leader, to take action to curb racist comments from UKIP’s party members.
Godfrey Bloom was recorded by an unknown source in which he told activists that Britain should not be sending foreign aid to ‘Bongo Bongo’ land as these people simply use the money to buy expensive Ray Band sunglasses, Ferraris and apartments in Paris. He went on to say that Pakistan now has F18 fighter jets courtesy of the British taxpayer at a time when Britain could not only do with new fighter jets itself but tells the public there are no funds available to protect Britain.
The recording was leaked to the Guardian newspaper in which Godfrey Bloom noted;
“How we can possibly be giving a billion pounds a month when we’re in this sort of debt to bongo bongo land is completely beyond me” Godfrey Bloom, UKIP
UKIP has on a number of occasions been labeled as a party of racists and fruitcakes; indeed the Prime Minister, David Cameron referred to UKIP as a bunch of fruitcakes whilst Ken Clarke pushed the envelope further by publicly announcing that UKIP were nothing more than a rabble of closeted racists.
A UKIP party spokesman revealed last night that it was discussing Godfrey Bloom’s comments at the highest level and will later determine his fate within the party.
Godfrey Bloom gave a statement to the press denying any suggestion of racism.
“What’s wrong with that? I’m not a wishy-washy Tory. I don’t do political correctness… The fact that the Guardian is reporting this will probably double my vote in the north of England. Godfrey Bloom, UKIP
It wasn’t just the fact that he referred to particular countries as ‘Bongo Bongo’ land that upset a number of MEPs. Godfrey Bloom also went on to say that it’s fine for the European Court of Human Rights to prevent the execution of criminals but it won’t stop people being tortured because that’s firmly embedded in the Treaty of Rome.
The usual band of left-wing wets are now rallying and calling on UKIP leader Nigel Farage to dispense with Godfrey Bloom. The question is will Nigel Farage bow to pressure or will he stand firm on the notion that telling the truth is often painful and certainly exposes those in power over their incompetence.
It was a mere weeks ago that a number of MEPs were caught fleecing the taxpayer out of millions in a scheme that showed them turning up for work at 6pm and leaving at 6.30pm – just enough time to sign in for the day to claim their daily expense allowance.
Of course this incident was quickly swept under the carpet so that the theft of public money could continue. However when someone stands up and tells the truth about failing policies and incompetent Government Ministers and MEPs they are immediately labeled a racist.
The recording of Godfrey Bloom’s conversation was not openly recorded with his knowledge. Instead a snidely opposition MEP recorded the message with the intention of merely creating a smear campaign against UKIP.
The truth is that the Tories, Labour and the Liberal Democrats are running scared. It was recently revealed that a Tory strategist, Lynton Crosby, was accused of planning a smear campaign against UKIP in an attempt to claw back voters as they, along with the other major parties, are losing serious ground.
Is what Godfrey Bloom said shocking? Yes it is but only to the extent that people should be shocked at the truth. Too often the British public is kept in the dark whilst Minister, MPs and MEP go about spending the taxpayer’s hard earned cash without any real accountability.
Nigel Farage, in a recent European Parliament debate, stood up and accused all in the Parliament of being incompetent and corrupt and further went on to ensure them that if UKIP is elected in 2015 he will see to it that the European Parliament will no longer have control over Britain and that their outrageous salaries will no longer be paid for by the British taxpayer.
What Britain needs right now is for more people like Godfrey Bloom to stand up and tell the honest truth and stand by him so that wets in the Tory, Labour and Liberal Democrat camps cannot simply label him a racist in order to keep his ‘honest’ views unheard.
Remember, we are supposed to be living in a democracy and it’s time people started to adopt the policy of listening to opposing views without labeling them either racist or bigoted.
The report of Godfrey Bloom’s comments, and more importantly the way in which they were reported, is nothing less than a character assassination plot against Mr. Bloom and UKIP by other parties who don’t want the truth revealed and as soon as the British public realise this fact the sooner we can move forward by installing a Government that will stand up for the interests of the British people.
