US Death Penalty: The Last 24 Hours

In the United States today any person sentenced to death could spend decades on death row before finally running out of appeals.

Those sentenced to death by a court are incarcerated in a specialist wing of a prison commonly known as ‘death row’.

Upon exhausting all appeals officials then choose a date of execution. In this video it takes a look at the final 24 hours of a prisoner’s life on death row, where the person is housed, who may visit that person, the last meal and finally the moment of execution.
