VICKY PRYCE PLEASE SHUT UP – No doubt by now you’ve read that Vicky Pryce, the ex-convict and ex-wife or ex-convict Chris Huhne, is penning a book on her experience whilst being locked up in Holloway Prison for perverting the course of justice – that’s lying for the likes of you and me.
Yes, she suffered terribly during her entire 8 weeks of incarceration and she simply had to produce her memoirs so that others might learn the hardships of prison life.
One of the things that disgusted me the most about her renditions of entering prison life was the description of the contents of her handbag. Vicky Pryce described how she had to empty the entire contents of her handbag in front of the public minions, the Prison Officers; how awful for her to be humiliated in such a way.
However, Vicky Pryce, described the situation as rather amusing as she discovered wads of cash in every nook and cranny of her handbag that she never knew she had – nearly £1,500.
Yes it must have been terribly amusing to know that you didn’t realise there was £1,500 stuffed in your handbag which was the equivalent of about six weeks pay to the average prison officer.
I spoke to my mum yesterday. At 73 years of age she’s a game old bird and unequivocally by far my best friend. I gave her a right dressing down for I wanted to know why I wasn’t sent to Public School and taught how to be a sniveling creep, incompetent, a liar, a thief – yes you know your average garden variety politician.
My dear old mum reminded me that some people are simply not cut out for such a lifestyle and that few are able to show no signs of remorse or shame – such as Vicky Pryce.
My mum is right of course and the traits of showing no remorse or shame appear to be a prerequisite, along with being a liar, incompetent and a thief for getting a job in Whitehall.
Vicky Pryce bangs on about hardship and the terrible conditions of prison life – yeah all 8 weeks of it out of an 8 month sentence. The ways she bleats on you would think she had just been released after 20 years.
Of course Vicky Pryce hadn’t been out of prison for more than a few days before she was once again advising a Government committee on economics – yes her prison bunk was still warm when she was once again being paid a nice big fat pay packet at the taxpayer’s expense.
It is without question offensive that the likes of Vicky Pryce could even show her face in public but as with her ex-husband Chris Huhne, who blames his sentence on the media, she has no shame and will continue to appear in public and assure that she is liberally splashed across the newspapers in order to feed her narcissistic view of public importance.
There are some aspects of Vicky Pryce’s imprisonment that we can learn from; these include the acknowledgement that prison life is nothing short of a 5 Star hotel experience. Indeed Vicky Pryce was provided with a private room, complete with cable television – such a convenience costs the taxpayer well over £50 a month whilst our prisoners get it for free.
On top of that there are three square meals a day and you never have to worry about the costs of electricity or heating – maybe our nations pensioners would be better off in prison for at least they wouldn’t have to worry about dying from the cold during the winter months and they would have access to all manner of recreational fun; all with top notch 24 hour security.
Unfortunately Vicky Pryce and Chris Huhne, who lost his Ministerial position due to his conviction, feel that a travesty of justice has been done. Neither considers lying to the courts and perverting the course of justice was in any way wrong – again that’s the trait of a politician; they simply feel that they are above the law and therefore it simply doesn’t apply to them.
According to what we’ve read at meebal.com Vicky Pryce is now trying to find a publisher in order to profit from her prison experience. I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if some publisher does take on the project for no doubt Vicky Pryce has sufficient connections in order to make it happen; but I wonder who will pay money to read her drivel.
Regardless of her conviction or that of her ex-husband’s both are not exactly struggling to make ends meet.
Within days of being release Chris Huhne was offered a very lucrative job on the board of a Green Energy company and insists that his appointment had nothing to do with being the ex-Energy Minister and assuring the public that he wouldn’t dream of using his Whitehall connections in order to boost the company’s profits – yes and no doubt Santa has lost 200lbs and will slide down our chimneys with ease this coming Christmas.
Wouldn’t it be nice if both Vicky Pryce and Chris Huhne were to slip into obscurity but unfortunately neither knows how to keep their mouths shut.
Yes both will continue to milk their experience for every penny it is worth. As for Chris Huhne no doubt he’ll continue to whine and moan how the media stitched him up… oh boo hoo.
