Why is the Word Nigger Still Being Perpetrated in Modern Society?

WHY IS THE WORD NIGGER STILL BEING PERPETRATED IN MODERN SOCIETY – The very use of the word ‘Nigger’ in the headline is going to have every liberal left-wing politically correct progressive screaming ‘racist’ from the bell towers.

Of course under normal circumstance when an article is produced on the subject of race, racism and bigotry, which is clearly directed at a person of African descent, the word nigger is replaced with either the connotation of the ‘n word’ or ‘n*****’.

Nigger is a noun in the English language. The word originated as a neutral term referring to black people, as a variation of the Spanish/Portuguese noun negro, a descendant of the Latin adjective niger (“color black”). Often used disparagingly, by the mid 20th century, particularly in the United States, it suggested that its target is extremely unsophisticated. Its usage had become unambiguously pejorative, a common ethnic slur usually directed at blacks of Sub-Saharan African descent. Wikipedia

In this highly charged state of perceived racial prejudice in which we are continuously reminded of by the liberals why does such a word create such hostility and why does a large number of the African American population still use the term when greeting one another if such a word is deemed so highly offensive?

I sat and watched the movie Animal the other night starring Ring Rhames; who in my opinion is a highly talented actor who is often given little credit for what are often incredible performances.

Without doubt the colour of his skin plays no part in his ability to act.

Throughout the movie the word nigger is prolific, ‘hey my nigger’, what’s up my nigger’ and the usual fare of ‘black’ street gang slang all involving the use of the word.

Considering that the word is perceived as being filled with racist overtones why is it allowed to be so widely used in movies and why by the black population?

The answer lies within the ability to make a movie appear as real as possible; that is film makers wouldn’t insert a ‘bleep’ over every piece of foul language a movie contains because it would be viewed as a weak portrayal of the subject matter which in turn doesn’t depict true life.

And there you have it… the last four words of the paragraph above hits the nail right on the head; the word nigger, along with all the foul language, the scripts dealing with racist issues, even if these are directed at one another of the same ethnic group, it wouldn’t come across effectively to the audience as ‘depicting true life’.

I’ve been called chalky, honkey, Jew boy, whitey and all other manner of names that the liberals would deem racist and bigoted slants upon my good character but I’m not that sensitive nor narrow minded enough to take offense; my mother always  told me that ‘sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.’

Moving on to reality, why is it that a person of African persuasion finds it so offensive for others not of the same ethnicity to use the word nigger in their presence? Again if it is clearly defined as a racial slur on one’s social standing within a community should the word be banished from use and especially with the targeted ethnic group?

Surely if such a word is deemed so highly offensive shouldn’t those of African descent teach their own children never to utter the word and demand that the Hollywood studios made amendments and refrain from such use in order to stop its perpetration further into society?

I remain perplexed and the only conclusion I can possibly come up with is that we have lost all sense of reality and that we are so obsessed with racism that it is essential to keep the word alive so that some groups have something to complain about and the ability to scream racism as a way to suppress and even oppress any form of communication on the subject.

Communication is the key to mankind’s success; it is of course this ability that has seen us evolve into the dominant species. Through this we have created societies and yet the liberal left-wing has managed to make almost anything we say appear either racist or bigoted.

I want to go back in time to a very remarkable man; that being Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who stood and declared; ‘I have a dream.’

Within this fabled speech Dr. King announced; ‘Judge a man not by the colour of his skin but rather by the content of his character.’

Dr. King was clearly pointing the way in which the colour of a person’s skin is and must be irrelevant for each person must be judged solely on their actions within society and more importantly to their fellow human beings; again regardless of race, colour or creed.

It is a notion that maybe we have all over looked for if Dr. King’s legacy is to ever come true then we must all collectively consider the word nigger to be offensive and therefore unusable in any context; whether it be the written word or used within the entertainment industry in order to depict social divides.

Surely we have evolved sufficiently to be able to put aside our differences simply due to the colour of a person’s skin.

I have a theory that the liberal left-wing progressives really don’t want us to progress but rather keep us in a state of perpetual racial hatred in order to fuel the need of the liberal left-wing progressive movement for clearly without the issues of racism and bigotry there would be no need for those with such political views; they would in effect become obsolete or surplus to requirements.

You could say that we are being treated as children and children who are incapable of thinking for ourselves; it could be deemed that our very ignorance is the reason why political correctness came about and undeniably thrives in modern society.

Finally it all comes down to respect. As someone with Jewish ancestry it would be complete and utter madness for me to look upon every modern day German as a Jew hating Nazi and this should, in my view, be reflected across all spectrums of racial heritage.

We simply need to learn that we are different culturally but fundamentally the same; for failing to do so will be the ultimate failure of mankind.

I wonder if we will ever come to our senses and finally truly grasp what Dr. King was trying to achieve.

Until that time we will continue to be subjected to the incessant political correctness indoctrination for we clearly haven’t matured to a stage whereby we can simply put aside the ridiculous notions that a person’s skin colour somehow makes them different or that certain words should never be used when referring to a particular ethnic group.
