WILL PRINCE GEORGE EVER BE CROWNED KING OF ENGLAND – The recent birth of Prince George Alexandra Louis, the Prince of Cambridge was widely celebrated throughout Britain.
Messages of love, admiration and congratulations swamped their Royal Highnesses’ William and Kate over the birth of a beautiful bouncing baby boy and heir to the throne. But will Prince George ever sit on the Throne?
I am a true monarchist; I sincerely believe that Britain needs a monarch so that it can clearly distinguish itself from other nations, mainly republican states, and uphold British traditions.
However since the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and her 60 glorious years on the Throne times have changed and all quarters of Government are simply biding their time when they will be able to abolish the monarchy with the public’s blessings.
Both Labour and the Liberal Democrats take great pleasure in making the Crown look arcane and greedy; especially when it comes to providing the Crown with its publicly funded annual budget.
It would appear that the only champion of the Monarchy is the Tory Party and yet secretly they would relish the chance to remove the Monarchy if they thought that a Republic would ensure their tenure in the halls of power.
The only thing that keeps the Monarchy in place is public opinion and even this is changing a breakneck speed.
The Monarchy’s history has deep ties to the Church of England and as more people move away from Christianity, an arcane institute that is corrupt and with deep ties to all manner of human atrocities, this pillar, when it finally falls, could well topple the Crown.
Even Prince Charles now refuses to think that his role as future Monarch should be the ‘Defender of the Faith’ but rather ‘Defender of Faith’; that is all faiths no matter what you may believe.
The Queen is now well into her senior years. Her pillar over her 60 years on the Throne has been her husband and consort Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh; but recently the Duke’s health has been worrying and at the age of nearly 92 nothing is certain. Whilst the Queen is adamant that she will never abdicate there are fears that she wouldn’t function as admirably if not for Prince Philip by her side.
The public is already deeply divided over Prince Charles taking the Throne. There is still so much ill will against him over the death of Princess Diana; which is further enhanced by his marriage to the woman that caused the irrevocable breakdown on his marriage to Diana.
I honestly feel the British public have been blindsided and that Tony Blair’s and his Government’s handling of it was a step towards getting the public to abolish the Monarchy.
To Tony Blair’s surprise his ploy of media manipulation; making Diana appear saintly and the Royal Family demons, didn’t work in bringing down the Monarchy. However the question remains… has the public forgiven Prince Charles and is the public ready to accept him as King of England; a role he so desperately covets?
Accept it or not it is his rightful passage and I personally think Prince Charles would make an excellent King.
One of the biggest threats to the tradition of our Monarchy comes not from within but rather from the ever growing powers in Brussels. The EU would like nothing more than to move in on Britain and install a Republican Government that it can control.
Is this really the future of Great Britain? The truth is that Government has chipped away at the establishment for decades and the only thing keeping the Monarchy in place is our admiration and love of Queen Elizabeth II.
Once the Queen goes I think we are likely to see a severe decline in public support for the Monarchy which will finally give Government all the ammunition it needs to finally abolish it and hand the reins of power over to Europe.
The answer to the question, will Prince George ever be crowned King of England? Most unlikely but the day the British public allows Government to sign the papers putting an end to 1,000 years of tradition will be the death knoll for the identity of Britain.
Do you think Prince George will ever be crowned King? Do you think that the Monarchy should be abolished? Please leave your comments below.
