WILLIAM HAGUE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT WINE THAN SYRIA – You might think that the Foreign Secretary, William Hague, would be working long hours in order to find some solution to the crisis in Syria.
On that note the public might be expecting William Hague to be dealing with other matters; rather than trying to find a way in which to arm Al Qaeda terrorist.
Either way the public, considering the vast salary that they pay him, would much rather he was working on something other more pressing than choosing expensive wines for him and his guests.
Unfortunately William Hague like so many of our MPs and Ministers who continue with the mantra that “We are all in this together” appears to think that choosing fine wines, that can be guzzled over dinner at the expense of the taxpayer, is a priority matter.
In the last 9 months alone those in Whitehall have managed to consume some 4,000 bottles of booze with some bottles costing the taxpayer upwards of £450. Indeed William Hague’s latest choice of fine wines cost the taxpayer £200 a bottle.
Surely if ‘we are all in this together’ wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to get a member of staff to nip off down to one of the leading supermarkets and pick up a couple of bottles of cheap plonk?
It looks like William Hague is a bit of a dab hand at picking wines for he personally oversaw the selection for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Of course Hague wasn’t always considered an expert on fine wine. There was a time where he preferred a simple pint; in which he once boasted he could sup fourteen pints a day. I guess, considering his drinking habit, we can be thankful that we pay for a chauffeur driven car; although it is concerning that he is making critical decisions under the influence; maybe that’s why he is insistent upon arming Al Qaeda terrorists in Syria. It is rather worrisome.
There are some MPs that have openly critisised William Hague over what has become common knowledge in Parliament that he is the unofficial sommelier and that he really ought to have better things to occupy his time rather than selecting fine wines for foreign dignitaries and pals he wants to entertain.
This debacle of course leads us right back to the so-called ‘Austerity’ measures that this Government has imposed upon its people and all the while pledge that we are all in it together. I don’t know about you but I’ve never been able to afford any bottle of wine over £10 and wouldn’t even consider looking at so-called ‘fine wines’.
Of course you and I don’t work in Government and the money that we earn we actually work for. We toil away day in day out just so the likes of William Hague can live the high-life at our expense.
Regardless of what I publish it’s unlikely that William Hague or any of the other incompetent and greedy fools will be shamed enough to change their ways and accept the position that we are NOT all in this together but rather there is a vast divided of them and us and it is of course us who is picking up the tab for their excessive and greedy life-styles.
I recently watched a televised EU Parliamentary debate in which Nigel Farage, leader of UKIP, stood up and openly called the EU Parliamentary Members leeches and incompetent fools. He also went on to say that if the British public finally wakes up to the lies, corruption and greed and vote in UKIP he’ll put a stop to it by pulling out of the EU and prevent MEPs from fleecing the British taxpayer.
Obviously his little speech didn’t go down to well considering the billions of Euros that the British taxpayer is forced to pay each year in order to feed the bloated cow of corruption, lies and greed.
I have already made the decision to leave the UK if UKIP isn’t elected in the next General Election for I feel that if the British public vote in either Labour, Conservative or the Liberal Democrats then they have no right to complain about the austerity measures, the greed, the corruption and the continuous lies they are subjected too.
Let’s just hope that come 2015 the British public will finally take a chance on something new and let’s be honest could UKIP possibly do any worse than what we have at present?
Do you think Ministers and MPs shouldn’t be allowed to drink at our expense? Please leave your comments below.
