WPC KELLY JONES NOW SUING THE POLICE FORCE – Last week I wrote an article about WPC Kelly Jones who was called out to an emergency 999 call at a Filling Station. On arriving at the scene she tripped on a curb and hurt her wrist and leg and then proceeded to sue the Filling Station owner for £50,000.
WPC Kelly Jones, as I pointed out at the time, is a complete disgrace to the uniform that she wears but she obviously knows a good thing when she sees it and this money grabber is out for more.
It now transpires that WPC Kelly Jones is suing the Police Force, for which she works, over an accident in a police vehicle. She was responding to, and giving chase, to a suspected suspicious vehicle when she hit a slippery patch in the road. Her police vehicle hit the curb and then crashed, turning on its side.
The two instances, of the Filling Station, and her Police vehicle accident are just months apart and this is fueling concern that police officers are going to start suing their constabularies and the public over the slightest accident.
Once again the public’s perception of the Police, and in particular WPC Kelly Jones is at an all-time low and many believe Police Officers should not be able to sue anyone while acting in the line of duty – has Jones no sense of dignity? Apparently not and from the suing spree she is going on she could comfortably retire in a very short time.
Chief Constable, Phil Gormley, WPC Jone’s boss actually came out to shame her further saying that her conduct is unbecoming of an officer and that her lawsuit is ‘surprising and disappointing’.
“Kelly believes that she has the right to go to work and not to be harmed by someone else’s negligence. A 999 call does not mean that anything goes in terms of public safety. Kelly loves her job and accepts the many risks she faces.
She does not accept that because her job is inherently dangerous, public places are absolved from ensuring their premises are safe to visit.
If negligent behaviour can make service stations, supermarkets, garden centres or sports grounds unsafe to go to, then it is unsafe for everyone. Pattinson Brewer Solicitors – Statement acting on behalf of WPC Kelly Jones
Well that’s lawyers for you and that’s how those without any moral fortitude go about fueling their greed for money.
On the other side there is the Police Union and Union’s are renowned for being abusive to their position and for claiming everything they can for their members and in this instance the Police Union shines like a bright star for those whose greed can never be quenched. A spokesman for the Police Union has said that WPC Kelly Jones has every right to sue and that they support her claims 100%.
After recovering from her injuries WPC Kelly Jones will soon be back on duty and with a bit of luck she’ll be made to pound the pavement so that she can face the public for her dishonourable conduct and with any further luck any other honourable police officer will refuse to work with her. Frankly the sooner the public can get rid of her the better off we will be.
Personally I think I should give up my current job, where the pay is lousy, and join the Police force. I reckon if I trip over a few times a month I could be a millionaire by the end of the year and retire. Looks like being a Police Officer in the UK has become one way of beating the odds of the National Lottery.
