YAKUZA TATTOOS – While you can see from the excerpt below, from Wikipedia, the Yakuza’s origins are born from organized crime. It is widely believed that the Yakuza are one of the world’s mostly highly organized disciplined crime syndicates in the world and have far reaching influences around the globe.
One trademark of the Yakuza are the tattoo’s which adorn their bodies, transforming the skin in to mysterious tales of lore that makes them also one of the most respected and feared organisations in history.
Yakuza (ヤクザ or やくざ ), also known as gokudō (極道), are members of traditional organized crime syndicates in Japan. The Japanese police, and media by request of the police, call thembōryokudan (暴力団, “violence group”), while the Yakuza call themselves “ninkyō dantai“ (任侠団体 or 仁侠団体, “chivalrous organizations”). The Yakuza are notorious for their strict codes of conduct and very organized nature. Regardless of the perception that ordinary people have there is no thing that is undeniable and that surrounds their body art. The Yakuza Tattoos are some of the most beautiful peices of body art I have ever seen, enveloping the body that surrounds the soul with tales of Yakuza.
Below I have chosen a few examples of what I think are truly beautiful examples of Yakuz Tattoos.
And there you have some very fine examples of Yakzua Tattoos. There is not doubting that it takes a certain individual of a certain mindset to go to such lengths in decorating their bodies with such intricate artwork. While I could not see myself undertaking such a task, I can fully appreciate the history, dedicated and beauty of the Yakuza tattoos.
